mr.south, abdul kalam did not oppose sethu samudram project knowingly well this project is not suitable to present shipping industry situation. it is similar to tape cassette video
which now changed from dvd cd to hard disk video
can we use now cassette video or tape recorder
when the trend changed to dvd and hard disk
chips -pen drive ect. so abdul kalam showed the
true colour of his faith when he is the native of rameswaram from where ram sethu bridge originate. now he opens his wide mouth to support for nuclear deal to ensure muslims vote
bank support congress in next election.where was
he when ram sethu bridge was being destroyed
to pose ecological, biological, environmental problems besides tsunami risk to rameswaram his
native place.

The title of the article is misleading!
by pratap singh on Jul 08, 2008 12:31 PM

The scientist (Dr. Prasad) blames politicians for the mess. However, he doesnt realize that even among scientists there is no clear consensus. How can we expect our politicians then to understand it wisely? I feel good in this sense about our democracy that no single person/scientist/politician can make his/her own decisions.

NDEAL
by ajay tyagi on Jul 08, 2008 12:31 PM  | Hide replies

It is interesting to see Shikhandi gathering all his willpower to further N-deal.For four long years he was writing on the dotted lines of leftists and an old jerk like Arjun Singh kept bullying him( AS's bootlicking abilities being better than MMS's). All of a sudden, the Shikhandi seems to have recovered all his potency (supposedly in National Interest!!)to discard fidelity with Left and switch over to equally debauch SP. Were deal really so good, Why MMS did not flex his muscles (?) last year (perhaps to urge to latch on to power at any cost blinded him to National Interest)? What about other reforms like disinvestment and opening up of economy? What about inflation? But No, N-Deal & Psecularism have taken priority to the exclusion of all other aspect of Governance.

Mr.South Indian. One questain will you simply agree anything your govt takes. No need to reveal it in its actal shape before the public before doing any agreement? understood your concern about power. But we need a crystal clear deal .Why this Manmohan and Soniya are hiding all details before the public...?

BJP never said that they are against nuke deal. Left has been opposing the deal. If there is vote in parliament about it, i m sure BJP will vote FOR it. However, because of left...it is the majority of government which is at stake. what can BJP do about it?

Why Cong so desperate? if there are contentions in the agreement
by Zhakas Bhidu on Jul 08, 2008 12:16 PM

address them in the interest of Nation and Future. I think we will end up buying some costly Nuclear reactors and parts and then not utilize them after few years.
