Al Gore crap
by Secular India on Feb 28, 2008 06:47 PM

Wishful thinking Rajeev. The man has as much charisma as a wallflower compared to Barrack Obama. Americans may in the ned chose McCain especially if there is a massive act of terror on US soil in the next 10 months. Otherwise it is Obama all the way. The white youth simply love Barack Obama today as he gives them hope and makes them fee good about themselves - hey we are not racists, we like good blacks but not those guys in the inner city singing hip hop. Like we have nothing against muslims as long as they are Abdul Kalam...

implausible conclusion
by pramod bhattiprolu on Feb 28, 2008 06:47 PM  | Hide replies

After all the analysis that Obama is all talk and no "beef", the conclusion drawn by the author looks equally implausible. Gore is not even on the ballot and the superdelegates form only 20% (800) of the total votes in Democratic primary. This is not enough for Gore to surpass the delgates amassed by neither Obama or Clinton in the convention.

Doesn't jell with what we are seeing

As an independent who is following this campaign out of sheer curiosity, I must point out one thing: Whatever be the experience and sound judgement capabilities of the other candidates, Obama has truly delivered a grassroots mobilizing campaign - the hallmark of a true leader. Another point: He has really outmanouevered, outclassed and outsmarted a far more established and experienced candidate. A person who can run such a well organized campaign should at least deserve some accolades for the sheer organizational and leadership skills that have been on display. With all their experience and capabilities, the others have not managed to catch up.. Why should people feel confident that they have the required capability to run a country, when they cannot even run a campaign?

Hi Folks ,

I have been continuosuly following teh debates and and the compaign on CNN for the last 2 months between obama and clinton .Obama appears to have good speeches. He condemns the actions of republicans for going to war in Iraq and clinton's NAFTA stand etc. However, Obama can point out to their decision because he never had to take one.He appears to show the public a good picture of a change without any solid plan and how he is going to achieve that .Clinton appears to be more practical .She has a strategy and the point of actions and an agenda which is very clear.I still believe Mc cain is the right choice. He understands military strength which these democrats will never understand. How much they hate Bush but they should understand that today in USA not a single terrorist attack has taken place after 9/11.

Back to the same old story. Republicans understand the military strength. Most of the republicans except for senior Bush have been great on gingoism and have comitted blunders and have gotten way with it. Reagan for creating a huge budget deficit which clinton set right and accumulated a surplus. Junioe Bush getting into unneccessary war with Iraq instead of finishing with the one he was on in Afganistan and raising the WMD bogey to fool the people. These are huge blunders and they ge away with it because they have the support of super rich, aspiring super rich and people who delude themselves into being super ric hif they supported republicans.Mccain is such an un interesting lack lusture person. all he is promising is huge tax cuts for super ric and jingoism for the rest.

There are lot of new going on about the islamic background of barak obama but actually he is a practising cristain. If elected to the president of usa., obama will have to act more christain than the normail white american christain to prove himself as a true christain. This is a bad news for the terrorists and islamic countries. He will go after the terrorists more aggressively than bush and also bomp few muslim countries to prove a point. Apart from that, democrats have incomplete job aginst iran. He probably take back the troup from itaq and redeploy to iran. Just like republicans have a duty for iraq, democrats have something to complete in iran. Thats good for india as he will bomb all terror countries.

US ELECTIONS

Rajeev's analysis is spot on. Obama will not be elected as President, and Republicans must be rubbing their hands gleefully, if he wins the Democratic nomination. WASP factor will come into play, and they will ensure Obama is not elected !! Al Gore - its a long shot, but could be a possibility, if there are unforseen developments taking place.
