@ganeshlambha,
You say you have many muslim friends. But that is not surprising since you being a muslim must be having a lot of muslim friends.

This is awful...
by RyaN on Feb 25, 2008 02:31 PM

Rediff is always misleading people with its absurd articles.I think rediff has hired some story writers to cook one after another article for rediff. They are masters of exxagerating the situation..They are just creating hatred among common Indian people. Some of its articles doesnot even relate to the actual incident.
Every article is so written as to divide the public on the basis of Caste/region....I think govt should seriously consider a ban on this site.
Beside this fake articles, you can only find SRK/cricket...I never found a single useful aticle on rediff till now....If anyone has found pls let me know.

Hidden agenda of our enemy...
by Common Man on Feb 25, 2008 02:20 PM

Guys, let us step back a little and think about it for a while.

Incidents like killing / bombing / mass destructions in India are considerably on a little less scale - compared to situation in Israel and Lebanon etc.,

It is this seeds of suspicion that the enemy is planting in our mind that we should worry about. Whether the recent 'suspected' terrorists arrested from Karnataka were successful or to what percentage, they would have been successful etc., one clear thing is emerging as a pattern:

"The enemy is getting away with planting the seeds of hatred amongst us and disrupting our socio-economic fabric. By making us constantly wonder if my neighbor is into some illegal activities if I don't see him for long (May be he works in night-shifts and sleeps during the day!). We should not fall prey to this. We must keep our heads high and live our lives peacefully"

A proper verification check should be done before letting them into any organization.
This is an eye opener.

RE:Mallus go back
by Common Man on Feb 25, 2008 02:12 PM

Rajeev, please do not react to a single situation. This arrested person happened to be from 'Kerala'. Hence, it is easy to say Mallus go back.

What if someone from Karnataka gets arrested in Kerala? Won't they scream: Kannadigas go back?

I mean, how much more longer we have to live like this? We should be proud of local, regional culture. But at the same time, we should also look at "Mother India" as our Motherland.

Till we don't do that, I feel we will continue to be exploited like this by our enemies and we will bicker amongst ourselves forever.

Terrorist is a NOBODY
by Common Man on Feb 25, 2008 02:07 PM  | Hide replies

Terrorism and anyone treading the path of Terrorism (Hindu, Muslim, Jew etc.,) are NOBODY. They are so brainwashed that they stay that way. They cannot be good Sons, husbands, Brothers, Employees etc.,

They just have a single-minded dedication to cause distress among the world and destruction. They will do anything to achieve their "cause" however unjust and irrational it may be to sane persons like us.

In this case, this 'suspected' terrorist happen to work in Bangalore and that too for some reputed companies. These companies hired him for not what he is now. But when he passed out of REC, Calicut in 1996.

Who knew he would turn out this way?

The apt title headline would have been: "Suspected" Bangalore Terrorist planning cyberwar.

Remember, he isn't proved guilty yet: No one should be punished until proven guilty in a court of law.

Ah! if the media waits for "proof or conviction in court" they cannot publish anything now.

They can forewarn the readers of effects allegedly planned. Nothing wrong in staying aware of terrorist designs

Sampath Kumar, just because they cannot publish anything now doesn't mean that they should publish anything and everything without verifying the facts.

Remember the Haneef incident? Australian police just picked him up for questioning as a 'suspect' because his SIM was found at the sight of the blast in London. [That is a valid reason to pick someone up for questiontions]

Now, what did our Indian media do about that? They started tracking his High-school, College, Friends, his rented accommodation, his family members, his in-laws, his photo was so repeatedly beamed in ALL channels, irrespective of the languages and screaming from dawn to dusk that an "Indian Terrorist Doctor" has been arrested in Aus. Now, I simply cannot erase his image from my mind.

Ultimately, it turned out to be false and there was no charges against him and the Australian govt had an embarassing situation.

What I mean to suggest here was: Instead of verifying the facts, had these Indian channels / media houses demonstrated certain professionalism, his face wouldn't have been portrayed as an "Indian TerrorisT".

Tell me, if he comes to your house for seeking a rental accommodation, would you give him?

EDUCATING MORAL VALUES
by VENKATARAMAN RAMACHANDRAN on Feb 25, 2008 02:02 PM

At schools and universities, we educate the people only on the subjects and ultimately the education is meant only for earning. Without proper moral and ethical education, many of them do not know which path to select and to make quick bucks they use the short-cut methods, where they can become rich faster than going through the right path.
