Well said Pat Thakur: we shouldn't waste time on these proud slaves
by SAYAK BORAL on Feb 05, 2008 11:33 AM  | Hide replies

We have already started showing our "Slave Status" even before the Prez has been Elected? Great!

Couldn't have said it better myself. These creepy, cringing, crawling insects that "also call themselves Indian when it suits their purpose" is the reason why Indians are still treated with derision, contempt and condescencion by Westerners. I'm surprised to learn none could even understand the central message of my previous comments in this thread. But maybe, what else could explain the reason those British could rule us for so long: that "cringing" mentality seems to have passed permanently into the Indian psyche. Shame on us as a nation that couldn't teach our own people to be proud of our own country. For a true-blue Indian, the centre of universe should rotate around India is that a message very hard to understand? Our Shaheeds and martyrs must be spitting in their graves by now.

Balls! Ask the US/ UK etc to get along with other cultures & people first. Let them broaden their inferior minds further. Why must always the Developing Nations give in to these Ruffians?

Face the reality around you my friend. Last week the crash in the stock market is a classic example of the panic US can create across the world. From what I understand from this incident is that our economy are still dependent very much on US. Only alliance can bring about mutual prosperity (example: US/Japan).Rest I will leave it to your wisdom.

I couldn't believe it when i read this article that there is quote in it says something about indian community not voting because the candidate it black. How can someone ask a stupid question like that? what if some african american gets a hold of this article (someone like Al Sharpton) and makes a big deal out of it and all the media pick up on it. Can you imangine what kind of damage this can do to indian community in USA? Some people are just plain stupid, I guess!

but isnt it true that Indian community is laced with hypocricy on racism issue. I know a tonne of elite educated Indians who call African Americans as Kaluas and equate them with criminals just like they equate latinos with menial workers while at the same time fretting and condemning white racism

talking abt the racism .. India is the origin of all kinds of racism that are being practiced now all over the world. .. just have a look at the recent incidents in Mumbai .. that clearly shows how narrow minded are some people in India. ..

i think we should rename our country to indamerica;
a country dedicated to provide talent, cheap labor to america, a coubntry dedicated to services of america, a country that cannot think of anything other than america,
subah shaam america america, ghar mai, office mai america america..
a country with a pathetic infrastructure and 75% living on less than $2 a day..
magar fir bhee... duniya mai ek hai hum, aur ek america

Solution hai ki accha education....... and Enterpreneurship opportunities should be made available in India...... Par ye kare kaun .. IITians are always more facinated to go abroad...especially america... Why shoulnt they..ofcourse living standard is better there.... But then it is their Moral responsibility to Invest back in India ..in monetary and intellectual terms.. to make our country better.....

Its very easy to criticize, but not so easy to implement.
If you have close look at our indian economy, majority of the Revenue comes from America.. The fact is India has potential, Resource but where is the Market, Market to sell is in US.. Though in past few yrs focus has changed, but it need to be improvement.. And each one of us need to contribute, One thing we all must accept that we are good workers , but lack appreciating Leadership qualities and hence always choose politicians that never make good leaders..And the Heard with bad leader can go nowhere...
