ABOUT DRAVID
by subhabrata sengupta on Sep 11, 2007 05:20 AM  | Hide replies

Rahul Dravid, the captain of our national cricket team. absolutely a big joke no. he never understand about the decision, where he takes that. he has any type of capability to charge or to boost the team. he dislikes to take any type of gamble. when he does not any type of risk, why he is a captain, immediately he should be sacked. For this reason his batting is in the deep trouble. We want batsman dravid, who saves India with his bat, in many cases.

Not even sachin

Sachin found place in odi from his past performances and reputation. He does not deserve that place from his recent performances.

Where is Mr. Wall with HOLE ?
by Uttamkumar Samanta on Sep 11, 2007 04:14 AM  | Hide replies

MR. Wall with big Hole (Mr. Dravid) did not find any place ! What's his supporters' view.

Mr. Wall, Mr. Reliable, Mr. Hole, Mr. Gum, Mr. Poor srike rate, Mr. Technique....do not help him to bring
into the place.

17 consecutive ODI win of chase, Win series in WI and Eng, Most successful (???!!!) captain defined by his
supporters did not help him to get the crown.
What a shame...

So, it must be realised by his suppoters and himself that he as a BIG HOLE, could/can not be repaired.

It's better and right time if he gives up cricket and spend time with his family.

I think the question should not be who is in this team or not but what is the relevence of this so called team and what methods were used to assess whether any one is on this team or not. Essentially this is an exercie in futility and a waste of time and does not reflect any thing about any one.

Congrats Jhulan
by Swamy BJ on Sep 11, 2007 04:12 AM

Hats off to you Jhulan, You made Indians pride and Indian women are powerful. Sadly, instead of praising a player of the year, here we are fighting more about a team member of ICC ODI team and 12th man.

Records don't reflect reality

well it hardly matters if sachin is included or dravid is not included...ultimately it boils down to how much the team has won.....

Tendulkar the great
by summer on Sep 11, 2007 03:35 AM  | Hide replies

Just as Hockey ows to Dhyan Chand, Soccer ows to Pele, so is Cricket enriched by Sachin Tendulkar.
He has left behind all great batsmen, I believe his best is yet to come.

Kinell .. Sachin Tendulkar compared with Pele and Dyan Chand.

I always give a chuckle at the mental age of some these cronies that have invaded message boards.

you must be kiddin' Nitin by saying no one knew India before Sachin came!! How many world cups does Sachin have? Not that I am not a Sachin fan (he is a great cricketer) but be reasonable, don't say anything to prove your point. Whether he is the greatest Indian is another debate because I feel that I am also the greatest Indian... sorry dude, can't digest either of the two statements!!

Strangest selection ....
by souvikmeister on Sep 11, 2007 03:29 AM

Ranks right after Raj Singh Dungarpur dropping Mohinder Amarnath, just after the latter was man of the match in the Asia Cup final.
How does the third ranked test team (India) find not a single player in the playing XI? Not even Rahul Dravid????
The other mystery is Adam Gilchrist not being picked in either the test or the one day team.
If this was a circus show, the selectors would make for the best jokers!

Gavaskar-->Tendulker
by on Sep 11, 2007 03:02 AM  | Hide replies

as long as gavasker there in ant form, tendulker will be...i agree tendulker is a player for himself to own some records not for the country...interestingly all his records should imply to the country and make some countribution to the team as cricket is a team game..but in contrary the team of this country bagged any major wins despite his "personal/individual" records...

A career advice for you. Never ever go in for any job that is analytical in nature. you will be the worst recruit your company's ever had. It was Tendulkar on numerous occassions who contributed to India's winning scores. If he wouldnt, we would have been worse.

I strongly agree with you Hiren. Sachin is always at the receiving end of the wrong umpiring decisions. If he were given a fair chance we would have been more fortunate to witness this master's wonders!
