by Para Mesh on Sep 10, 2007 08:45 PM

I think all right thinking persons, especially lawyers, must take up Uma Khurana's case and file a suit that will scare the pants out of all these bums. Take up the case om a damage percentage basis and sock it to these awful blots on society, I mean the Police???

This teacher was slapped and punched in public because of this. The reporter who was a part of this sting should be stripped in public, I am sure the entire country would love to watch that !!

Stings!
by Charles Crasto on Sep 10, 2007 08:21 PM  | Hide replies

Stings make good expose. But we need stringent punishment for anyone who uses it wrongly. Specially if it is a fraud. A good reputed teacher could have been driven to suicide for this! Exemplary punishment is called for against the TV channel, its reporters and the others involved.

Like all good men and women who say (when confronted with reports of terrorism), "Let's get to the root of the problem; let's find out what are the actual grievances of the terrorists", I want to say, "Let's get to the root of this nasty business of Stings; let's find out what are the actual grievances of the stingers".
Their real grievance is that fact that despite all their tall talk, the BJP emerged as the single largest party in not one but three elections (1996, 1998, 1999), proving all the theories, predictions and estimations of the ruddy secular-fundamentalist mad-mediapersons wrong.
It was to wreck vengeance on the BJP that two acting as one Dr. Frankenstein, created this monster called "TV Sting". Recall Tehelka, Tarun Tejpal and Aniruddha Bahal.
And don't forget that they provided liquor and also supplied girls to some of the people they were stinging.
Yes, Tarun Tejpal and Aniruddha Bahal supplied girls. That makes them pimps, not presspersons.
The Uma Khurana case is just one more of the dozens that are going to make our lives miserable in future. Don't forget the case of a man committing suicide when an adopted daughter alleged that he had raped her; nor the death by burning of more than one poor victim of bureaucratic boorishness, egged on by TV sting operators.
As they say in Urdu, "Ibdataye ishq hai, rota hai kya, aage aage dekhiye hota hai kya".

I agree the way they followed to find the 'fault' is wrong like supplying gals. But, they made a big exposure on how the weapon contracts are going. Its too sad that the scandals on defence is running in thousands of crores. Unless there are these type of incidents who will know about these ????
