Is Uma Khurana fully innocent ????
by kalapati munimanjunath on Sep 10, 2007 10:35 PM  | Hide replies

I still believe Uma Khurana is not fully innocent. The sting operation may be wrong but please see the conversation of the video it shows that she was involved in that sort of flesh trade

continued....

Earlier I read that she was transferred from her previous school with the same flesh trade allegations. As this is the case releated to child exploitation sources should fully investiage and know whether she is innocent or not

Kalapati, no report said that she was transferred from her earlier school because of flesh trade.... Maybe some idiots like Star News or India TV might have said so to sensationalise the whole thing but nothing of the sort happened...

In fact the police also said they'd recovered incriminating CDs from her flat which later turned out to be cartoon and normal movie CDs.....

My advise to Indian courts
by Prof R K Gupta-India on Sep 10, 2007 10:01 PM  | Hide replies

While we appreciate concern of judiciary to safeguard innocent persons from victimisation by crooked elements in journalism,we would advise the courts including supreme court to make just simple and short guidelines to pre empt babudom's interference and completely scuttling freedom of media by amending contempt Act.Sting operations that are genuine are very much needed in today's corrupt society with hi- tech equipment. That sure Will act as deterrent on corrupt and shameless bureaucracy, judicial officers, politicians ,industrialists and policemen.
Media should have full freedom to carry impartial and genuine operations and even government officials like police and CBI should help them. This could be starting point of private outsourcing of detective work which our corrupt, cheap over burdened and insensistised potbellied police officials could not achieve as they are busy harassing innocent, collecting hafta, stoping cars and scooters, doing crimes and closing genuine complaints if at all these are registered by them. Judiciary must tread carefully and protect genuine investigating journalism that has been given a new name. It is great work and should be protected. But yes punish those who are corrupt in media. Those who are in custody of law and morality must be doubly punished including police. But do it with pinch of salt. Prostitution is omnipresent.I know how clean are some ministers, babus and businessmen. So watch it courts.Don't jump!Dont allow amenedments in laws.

hello friends,
after airing the story how Uma was beaten similarly they should also dare to stone and blow the studios of CNN-IBN .
and now it is proven that Doordarshan is the best and it is fullfilling its social obligations other channels are busy in making money to increase their TRP'S by hook or crook.

Delhi fake sting: Khurana granted bail
by MAYA SINGH on Sep 10, 2007 09:27 PM  | Hide replies

hi friends,

uma was innocent or not it is matter of investigation. but the manner in which a channel has produced it is highly objectionable. tv channels can not be an investigating agency parelell to law enforcing agency. if any news agency gets any evidence that has to be submitted before acourt of law rather these channels becoming themselves a court of law and pronouncing judgemnets over tv channels.

if a court of law is not functionning properly than the role of tv channels comes and if a judgement is pronounced wrong then to criticise such judgement is welcomed on tv channels but to bcome themselves as a judge is highly objectionable.

now the news is coming through police that whole story of uma was fabricated and she was trapped, she has been granted bail soon going to be released but what about her public image which has been badly shatterred and maligned by these channels can it be braught back?

I am not fully convinced with this..
Your ideology may cease the TV channels
to reveal the truths before public..
Think "Why was the TV channel
first to highlight the convict or crime.."
There are obvious incentives of NEWS channels for this type of telecasts.. but think of what it did finally. Atleast there is a medium and there are reporters spying these crimes.Criminals must have fear about perils of illegitimate actions..

Moreover your point is concerned, there is corruption at each level..these matters must be disclosed to public as soon as possible..There
are chances of suppresion of these cases by any higher authority..

Its not always that the glass is half filled..
Every coin has two faces.U shold also consider the other side.

In fact almost all of today's journalists are like this. They want CHEAP PUBLICITY at the cost of JUST ANYTHING. We should do away with this kind of people. A large number of them are even FUNDED by terrorists.

matter of shame for the press!
by pradeep RAO on Sep 10, 2007 08:45 PM  | Hide replies

sting operations have become a fad in the media!. It is time we have a governing body to regulate the manner & legality in which these operations are conducted.

shame on whatever that channel is.

and who can regulate the indian mass mentality which takes law into its hands needlessly
