The sinking CPM fortunes have more to with the juvenile leadership of the party at the central level. Mr Karat, Mrs Karat and Mr Yechury are no proletariat. They have no track record of sacrifices or struggle. They were just blue eyed boys of some old guards.
Their cronyism in all important state units, have resulted in corrupt, money minded leaders with sheer muscle power gagging the state and people.
An example is Kerala where rampant factionalism thrives between the CM and the state secretary. The state party chief is facing CBI enquiry on a scandal that is running into millions of dollars for a dubious contract and kickbacks allegedly taken from a Canadian company while serving as the state Energy Minister.
Be it Bengal or Kerala the CPM bosses are proving to be in hand in glove with all sorts of national and international money bags. The external backing of the central government has given it the further foothold amomng the national bourgeosie also.
The bottomline is there is no communism with CPM but a Stalinist mindset and lust for power and money. Barring the catchy slogans and red flag, there is nothing much to distinguish CPM from the underworld gangsters who are also driven by similar instincts.
India should get rid of Communists from its soil for the real progress of her people. These negative thinking people will keep the mass by creating negative vibration and will never allow the mass to progress and think independantly.

Had this happened in any other state, the state govt would have been dismissed instantly and President's rule imposed. But here the COngress has a dilemma. It cannot dare the ruling left lest it might withdraw support at the centre. So let innocents lives get lost. Does anybody care beyong making a few sympathetic statements and a few critical statements in the media
