People involved in this process are mutually benefited, helping each other with their needs. Though God denies a person's need in one way, but tries to fulfill the person's need in other way.

Making it a business is unethical & not good
by hardtruths on Nov 22, 2007 01:03 PM

Surrogate motherhood should not be based on poverty.. this is nothing but exploitation.. If we put before the financial benefit, then even brothels can be allowed.. (i am aware both are entirely different in terms of ethic.. but logically, there is no difference)

Yet, i could understand the noble purpose of helping one to get their baby..

We need to define the fine line in this... otherwise, it has the potential of business exploitation, that could become a social stigma..

too much to think about...
by rani on Nov 14, 2007 12:46 AM

There are myriad nunaces a woman goes thorough during pregnancy and childbirth ...this project needs to be monitored and executed extremely carefully and with complete sensitiviy. There is so much that could go wrong.. a woman's womb is not a commodity that should be so easily available for selling, not to say that it is not a good option but there should be proper controls in place and unfortunately in India where poverty is prevalent, this can backfire into a shady business....

Having a baby for someone else may sound incredibly lofty and blissful at first, but could get complicated and hairy during and after the pregnancy.. there are many issues one has to think about.

adoptation is the best way to have a baby , but all the poeple may not be accept the adoptaion. in that case they have hope from surrogate mother to have their own biological baby. Dr Nanya should make sure that surrogate mother is covered with life insurance in case something happens to her during the delivery. otherwise this is a good service for the poor people who otherwise don't have any means to get money, neither from relatives nor from the government. there are very poor ladies working in the fields just for the daily food, for then this program kind of a finacial hope.

As long as it remains noble.
by nikes on Nov 02, 2007 07:18 PM

More than babus, this got to get approval of so called vigilante.

Well, This "noble thing" should remain noble.
It has all potential to become a buisness. You know when it gets social acceptance. Many poor woman, instead of looking for other good means to earn will start doing this.

I am not against it, but you know a coin always has two sides.
