Let it be unabmiguously understood, practically every terrorist is a muslim and practically all their support comes from islamic countries. there is no need to build bridges with terrorist states. they should be taught a lesson on how to live with the rest of the world

Islam has its own well-written terrorist manual, the Koran. Until Muslims shed their hatred towards other religions there can be no bridges between them and others.
Rajmohan Gandhi as otherwise honorable man has a habit of overdoing stuff. He is defending undefensible!
Khilafat Movement made dangerous compromises with National Independent struggle. It proved to common people that Muslims were driven by external factors more than happenings with them in India.
It legitimised Mullah leaderships and since Khilafat days, they expanded and created a political Islamic identity.
In today's world, the equivalence would be: India should NOT pursue Indo-US Nuclear deal because Muslims have problem with US.
And what happened at the end? Could Gandhi save India from Partition? Did Muslims listen? Gandhi almost begged Jinnah - but nothing happened!
COuld Gandhi save Hindus of Pakistan? Obviously not.
Yes, he allowed 33% Muslims to remain in India. It was not because him, rather because of Hindu tolerance.
India has been thrown to gods due to pathetic ideas like this. West and Islam have both screwed India in the past and will give a tight slap on both the cheeks if it interferes into their dialogue. The world outside is not as welcoming as India would like to believe and very few will indulge her attitudes. India should clean it's own mess and build it's capacities and then command respect through sheer might of strength from others like USA did or China is doing. Pragmatism will pay India rich dividends and utopian ideals will do her irrepairable damage.

Pre Eminent Indian Novelist Saratchandra chatterjee, himself was a Congress leader in Bengal during Khilafat.
He resigned in protest when Gandhi Supported Khilafat.
He gave a lecture in Bangiya Sahitya Sammelan (Bengal Literary Forum) where he blasted Gandhi for allowing Muslim religious agenda to dictate national freedom struggle.

Its a long speech and I have to translate that from Bengali. Unfortunately, most Indian authors work are still not freely available in English.
Here is few small snippet from my memory:
"Since last 100 years we are talking about Hindu-Muslim Unity. It has become such a farce today that ONLY hindus talk about this. As if responsibility of peace is ONLY on Hindus.
I would advise that Hindus give this task of Hindu-Muslim unity to Muslims and let them handle it for next 100 years. We will see how much progress they make.
Hindu-Muslim unity will be achieved in a SINGLE day, if the Hindus become United. Because Muslims will then understand the power of Hindu unity."
It is part of history that Mahatma Gandhi, for all his good deeds, was indeed trying to appease Muslims and failed miserably in containing Jinnah inspite of his appeasement.
The world is large enough for all people to co exist and India should mind its business and not go after brokering between Muslims and the West. The Muslims are fighting a great battle amongst themselves - Shias, Sunnis, Moulvis and the fatwas and they are not able to agree to a single common code or common law.

Musharaff has to be a converted Hindu since only the converted ones exhibit too much hatred towards their ancestors. Same way Bhutto behaved(He called Hindus are dogs) till he was mercifully hanged by his chelas. I wonder the pychology of hating ancestors & I think it is because they lose the tip of their manhood either thru fear or for money.
