Its a reminder at the end of the day...
by Rahul Patel on Jul 27, 2007 03:37 AM  | Hide replies

Congress in Goa has way too many cooks spoiling the soup...BJP has one leader, Manohar Parrikar, and another, Shripad Naik, at a national level. Congress has Luizinho, Rane, Ravi Naik, Kamat (who came back to the party expected to be rewarded) and of course the Alemao's who left altogether, Victoria Fernandes who's been overlooked over and over...you name it. I, of course, make absolutely no predictions of how long this government lasts...but it will make it easier if the Congress has like 5-6 people claiming to be the true leader in such a tiny state.

Prove the strength daily. There is no difference between Congress and BJP. Congress has R(e)SS in itself.

Goa's CM, Home Minister etc. are also BJP filtered who have changed parties for their own interests. And in fact Congress bought BJP MLAs last time. This time BJP has not taken any Congress or its official ally NCP MLAs

Musical chair of Goa Government
by Jerry Fernandes on Jul 26, 2007 08:34 PM

What a shame that since so many years, Goa has had no proper govenment, all the time tug of war for the chair.

It would be best for Goa to have presidents rule, permanent, No need of all these leeches who only think of themseves. Wasting of millions of rupees for elections will be saved as there will be no more elections. The assembly house can be used for some other purpose instead of wasting the tax payers money for all the luxury these good for nothing ministers enjoy. All the forty plus cars which are at the disposal with all fuel used at tax payers expense will be saved, and most of all, the police used to protect these useless ministers can be used for better purpose, the protection of the public.

by crazyforsense on Jul 26, 2007 07:51 PM

Shows the kind of politicians we are stuck with, they change their 'loyalties' in about 50 days.

Also if BJP was in majority and reduced to a minority by defections, we all know how many souls would have cried foul on Rediff. Right now, though none of the same folks will cry foul. Point: The people themselves dont care for principles.....instead they have become party supporters.

I hope the BJP govt. can last the entire term now.

This time, Congress must remember the Left's support and their strength for UPA government. Also Congress leaders see the Fevicol's advertisement, who does not know about the Left's strength.

Also try to implement Common Miimum Programme at once.

BJP is roaming here and there. Their aim is the chair after two years.

Left has got the numbers (36 MPs) with the help of Muslims and Christians. In the next elections, the so called Left's strength will be limited to Kerala and Bengal.

The left fought Congress for more than a century and now they are friends and rules the country. If this strange coalition of Left and Congress is not due to greed for power, there is no meaning for the word "greed".

dear communist sahadevan how come comrades collegues of yours rape poor helpless women at nandigram and singur ( maybe thats what you and CPM CPI call womens empowerment). your party grabs land from the poor and helpless peasants and hands it over to the tatas and salems ( thats is poverty elimination as per CPM ) . shame on you and the CPM/CPI -- agents of the bourgeois. look at the choice of your party leaders karat and bardhan pratibha qualifcations includeg shielding her brother in murder case, brother siphoning of kargill war victim funds, she dishing out loans to her relatives from her bank founded on public money , pratibha using MP funds for the benifit of her own edcuational orgainstaions and trust, her husband abetting the sucide of a employee by withholding his salary inspite of a court order for the paymnet of the employeess salary dues. today communist and congress politcians infact has endorsed , dignified and rewarded ills like corruption, murder , expolitaion and nepotism by voting for pratibha enmasse. i am no shekwat supporter but indian definately deserved a better dignified non controversial president. The vote for pratibha can be seen as how low the values of the politicans whom india voted to power has fallen too.

BJP under the leadership of Parrikar should form the Govt. in Goa. Parrikar has done a great job in the past for we Govekars and BJP lose marginally in last election.

Congress has always been playing dirty politics in Goa politics with its usual Todo-Fodo rajniti finally has fallen in its own trap. Its fitting reply to communal Italian Congress led by Sonia

I respect Parrikar for the administration of the Goa Govt. But only mistake he made during his last tenure is that mixing politics with religion. If he could have avoided this BIG mistake he would have completed his full tenure.
If he comes back to RULE he should remove some disowning members from the cabinet rank, and avoid such mistakes.
At the END we want GOA to be STABLE and want good governance.
