In the US you talk about a multi cultural, democratic, secular and pluralistic society. In India the same NRIs want Hindu culture imposed on non Hindus. Biggest hypocrites in the world!

have your freaking country, who wants it anyway? Even when I lived in India as a christian, I was constantly reminded that I was part of the minority community, that I did not fit. That I should have been a hindu instead. Lot of Hindus tried to convert me. And then there is the whole caste system imposed by the hindus.

You can only change your religion not Your national identity. Any far you run away from India, you are recognized as Indian(outsider)there. If you say "your country" and cant accept India your country then you dont have any country of yours on earth.

And as much you were asked to convert back to Hindu, more than that missionaries are doing by taking advantage of helpless & weak people. Atleast Hindus dont do that.If christians are minority in India that is not the fault of Hindus. Thats the fact.Why do you want to crib on that? But dont forget the missionaries are constantly trying to change the equation each day by unfair ways.While missionaries are trying to increase their numbers Islamic militancy is trying to decrease the numbers of Kafirs.Great gifts to the country from these religions.

The majority of NRIs are liberal and broadminded, their wish to safe guard their hindu culture & traditions is prudently utilized by fundamendalists in india to attack others in the name of religion.
So NRIs should be very particular about their financial contributions to organization preaching hatred in the name of culture and traditons.
Hinduism is a way of life. It encompasses multiples schools of thoughts so that "truth" can emerge thru debate, rather than some whisper from an angel in the ears of a specific individual or "miracles" done by an individual.
The stirct codification of Islam (Koran) and Christianity (Bible) leaves no room for debate in those religions. "Geeta" for Hindus at best is an Executive Summary for ready reference, not a strict code.
It is a misconception that Hindus worship many Gods. No, they do not. The popular image of a rishi is meditating alone in a forest without any picture of God in front of him. The various images of Gods worshipped are part of the same "almighty", put in a colourful picturization so as to draw attention of the less intellectual and the common folk. The mathematics book of my child has many pictures. The mathematics book at Postgraduate level has no pictures. As one reaches the senior level of intellectual understanding, the pictures are discarded.
Thousands of people mechanically trouping into mosques and offering namaz or congregating in a church on Sundays do not make them any wiser or intellectually advanced. It is a mere process to which they adrere under strict codification. Every student is forced to attend classes in a school under the rogour of the school discipline but only a few learn.
This is a historic event in the history of America, when senate started with hindu prayers........we all must be proud of it......this is the time to show our presence felt in US.......now the world is global and US is no exception.....it has to accept the reality that apart from christianity there is another great religion which has many followers world wide..... This behaviour of few right wing protestors was a shame ful act desplaying the narrow midness and ignorance.
Also.. Why should god be one person. Why can't god me many. God never said he/she is just one person. It has been people telling that god is one person, just like how people have been saying there could be many gods.
Its been always that Christians and Muslims are worried about the concept of many god theory. And they all used deadly means to eradicate that from their religion or formation of there religion.
Christianity and Islam developed at the cost of other religion and yet Hinduism is being blamed for being arrogant.
Granted Hindu fundamentalist have stupid ways to preserve hindu ways. But is it any different with Christian and Islamic fundamentalist?
So guys.. stop picking on Hinduism and Hindus and stop converting people. You dont have right.
I love Christians and Muslims. I have closest friends in those comunity. But i hate fundamentalists. Let weed them out.
These are the people who protest but always ask secularism in india.is the only christian country vatican is secular? is any islamic country secular? but our christian and muslim brothers never ask secularism in their majority countries but only in hindu country.GOD SAVE INDIA.

the protestors are everywhere. even in india some section of people protest everything ranging from films,paintings etc, So india is a non-secular country. It is the vast majority who should be considered.
Some indians(Hindus) in USA,UK,GULF regularly funds the fundamendalist organization and these organizations targets the christians,muslims etc. in india. In spite of these backhacking by a few the US People and goverment is very liberal and friendly with indians.
Turkey to my knowledge is a secular country and fighting with fundamendalist to maintain it. GULF countries are not the representatives of the entire islamic community

The problem is Akram, that Indians are intelligent and likeable people...unlike some other communities. The Hindus have no option but to defend themselves from the radical Christians and Muslims. If defending oneself from conversion is called fundamentalism...then so be it. The problem is that the image of the Hindu is so meek that all these other religions try to overpower us. What they all need to understand is silent waters run deep. It is the oldest religion and the world and has survived various oppressions. I think the Christian and Muslim fundamentalists should realise that it is a waste of time trying to overpower the Hindus. It is never going to happen. I highly recommend them to use their time and energy more constructively.

Hinduism is undisputetly the oldest religion in the world and every hindu has right to defend the community from conversion. But conversion is the decision of the individual and no person can be compelled in this regard.
So if you want to save hindus from conversion ask hindu brethern not to go to countries of muslim,christian majority and stick themselves to be in India and fund the organizations of hatred.
The succes of the indians(hindus) in foreign countries is mainly owe to the liberal mindset of Christians/Muslims of those countries.
instead christian/Muslim fundamentalist should think of kicking out Hindus funding RSS,VHP from their land.
Then only you will understand and recommend your brethren not to fund RSS,VHP

We should expect protests like these to happen and yet press on. There is a significant section in American Society which is very liberal and my salute to them.
Desperately seeking some Clerics from Masjids to motivate citizens of India doing something for themselves, like making an effort to reduce corruption, making an effort to force the Rogue Police to change their ways.
If these clerics can motivate hundreds to lay down their lives, fighting forces millions of times large, like the UK defence forces, Pakistani military, Indian military, etc, etc ... This should be an extremely simple Job.
