When I was barely four years old, my father told me the story of Ramayan. The life and story of Lord Sri Rama, an embodiment of virtue and an epitome of righteousness. This highly chivalrous personality inspired me and would continue to inspire me for the rest of my life.
We never know if Lord Sri Rama ever walked on the face of this planet or whether Ramayana is just a figment of imagination of a poet, but the characters in Ramayana have influenced the Indian culture for generations. Indian women still believe in chastity, we still consider it a moral obligation to respect and obey our parents. An elder brother is a always a fatherly figure for us and we still follow the doctrine of single spouse. These traits of Indian society are by and large incorporated into our system by the influence of characters in Ramayana.
Hinduism is probabaly the only faith which attributes divinity to human biengs. As per advaita, everything is a devine manifestation of God and any one can attain divinity by waking up the godliness in him. Lord Sriram Lived this philosophy.
He never attributed divinity to himself, he was not a self proclaimed messiah of God, instead he called himself a simple human bieng(Nimmitta Matra). It hurts me to know that some people are morbidly bent upon destroying a structure which is supposedly built by him.

You are confused.
When Tsunami hit, Tirunelveli & Tuticorin costs of TN were saved and that is because of Srilanka (East coast of SL bore that brunt). Hundreds died in Kanniyakumari (TN) & Trivandrum(KL) district coast. People didn't die on further north on West Coast of Inida, because Tsunami was triggered on easter side of India. Read book.

I am not an export but I have good common sense and have a pretty good knowledge on India's geography.
What has Ram Bridge to do with Kerala. Anyone with little knowledge on geography will know that the root comment is rubbish.
Rameshwaram may be one of the much venerated place .But it is a fact that the Saivite Nayanmars who lived from 6th to 8th century AD who covered all the Siva temples by singing Bhakthi songs in TN didn't mention Rameshwaram Temple even in one song. This temple became famous only later after the Tulsi Ramayanam which was written later than Nayanmar period. Neither the historically very significant Tamil Sangam Literature mention about the Temple or the Bridge(!).The singalese history chronicle 'Mahavamsa' which traces about 2000 years of SriLanka's history also did n't mention .
Few hunderds of Brick klins surrounding Agra were closed because they wer spoiling the beauty of Agra, but in case of ramasethu withe they wrong notion of economic benefit they are destroying the belief of Indians
Every thing is a creation of God. We chop mountains for gold, ores, etc. We consider many temples to be a direct creation of GOD, but we do repair them, demolish then when it is needed. Similarly even if I agree Ramar bridge to be a creation of Lord Ram, what is wrong in clearing a minor portion (300 meters) of the 26 km bridge or ridge, to give a way to ships. Don't we clear temples to give way to roads? Why all this unwanted politics on this?

Try posting a message just to hint for a removal of a masjid for the sake of a road. You will know the difference,

Then why the heck the Supreme court is not suggesting those. I am open for an alternative if that is feasible. By the reason being pointed is some thing I can not agree, though myself a devout hindu.

Aren't you aware that 1000's of houses are demolished to give way for NH roads and ring roads. Yes, I would be unhappy to see my house demolished but eventually I will have to give up and make up my heart.

no u r speaking from your brain not your heart. your real image will come out only if such a thing happens. either u will keep quite out of helplessness or fight against the govt in the court of law.

10 feet of the front portion of a house that my father owned was taken away when the road connection Kiranoor to Viralimali in TN was upgraded. I told you I was unhappy but I will have to give up eventually.
Even a hundred year monument faces protection in most parts of the world...look at the fun...we need the supreme court to tell us such things....If any of u had seen the satellite picture than ur thoughts will surely change.....whether its part of Ramayana or not has tobe done by the experts....the Govt. should sanction funds for further examination of the adams bridge vis a vis ram sethu.....if anyone interested i can send u the link.... cheers

Many Indians have been lead into slavery by power brokers of empire. They have been instructed to ossify their mind on a racial historical assumption by the colonists.
Talking of Indian heritage thus challenge theor bread butter, but they should find noble paths than destroying civillization.
