Performing and corrupt official is highly possible in Government .It is not necessary that performing officials must be honest .Honesty and Performance are two differnt quality which may or may not co-exist.

Hike in DA
by Bhanuprakash Reddy on Aug 31, 2007 04:16 AM  | Hide replies

Being a govt employee, let me make few points clear for general consumption.

1. Please do not think or give the impression that govt employees are paid for non-performance. There are ofcourse some non-performaer whose number is certainly high in govt sector. However, unfortunately govt employees' performance has not been recognized nor appreciated, leaving the hiking in pay aside.

2. Not all the govt employees are corrupt. Please remember because of a good number of honest and performing govt employees the system has not collapsed, your life is running smooth (if not great). Otherwise our great political leaders would have got everything into their kitty

3. Because of the low payment, there is hardly any talent in the govt system

4. Finally, if at all you guys have to say something, put your hardest views on the unnecessary expenses made on our USELESS nethas.

ThanX

G.B.Reddy

Rightly said. The system has not collapsed just because of few honest officers. The EC for example. The chief could have chosen Govt side but acted neutral and tough. All the IAS officers shb be like that to make India a Livable place. also Example of AP govt and police...the police couls have initiated search operations not bowing to govt and many lives could have saved. GOVT officers think about the future of INDIA

i appreaciate your opinion,,biggest problem in india is people immaturity,,biggest govt sector benefit is mojority people service, there are so many instance like justice system, police system , all like these deptt have been made slave to politcal class and geting manipulated by changing pollitical master as their fiefdom, totaly downgraded the moral of peoplee, i have seen the punjab police working how constable being treated like slave, they have not life , dignity, all officer being corrupt , agent of big politcal bosses set aganda and involve in immoral activities , all junior officer are just pawn in their hand,,,this systes should be changed , more accountibility , transferency and fine should be imposed on guilty,,we are following the english system of surpressing people, making them slave ,,,
all people should come forward and suport the govt sector,, not allow our politician and their cahoot to loot and run down the efficienty make mockery of system,,,
otherwise private sector is there to loot , suck your blood and appreaciate the rate and make scarce the resources just for supply and demands,,
we need accountibility,,discipline and transferency in every field,,
we are coming to know thorough media how corrupt and worse our poolitican are when they are in power,,,

i agre with mr. josh.our ias/ifs/ips officers are jsut like english officers before freedom..they are treating the lower officers as their slave.they do not alloww them to think about their conditions..thse so caaled lal batti saabs make so complicated policies for low rank officers/employees so that they can not rise even if they are having talent...these high ranked officers are actually enjoing the power, money and status of Govt job..

so dont make hue and cry on the increase of such govt class people..they are under heavy pressure of non upgradation..mis management and bad future..

I dont know if know it correct or not - the hike in public sector is like annual increase in basic pay for maximum of 500 effecting in overall increase of less than 750.
Just compare the hike in private sector with govt sector - even the worst performer in the private sector would have definitely get more than anyone in public sector get.

In pvt sector u go to office at 7.am and come back only after 5.00 mostly....right..? and always ready to support ur boss no matter what time it is...

by Ice Fruit on Aug 31, 2007 12:48 AM  | Hide replies

i know govt employees are most under paid. Even if we(people/govt) increase the salaries of them do they continue with the corrupt practices.

Even when a begger drink a cup of tea, he is indirectly paying 32 types of tax. let govt. employee remember that

What is still remained to be taxed on...
Govt should revise their plans on deducting indirect taxes and centralize direct tax, i.e. pay tax once for all rather than paying such multiple taxes which is actually very high (>30%) rather than what we earn.

The Government has decided to increase the DA hike by 6% to the serving central Government and retitred personnel is appreciated. The price of essential commodity has gone up extremelyvery high and the present hike of DA is some what reasonable.
