Interview with CM of AP on Rediff
by V Ravi Kiran on Aug 30, 2007 09:22 AM  | Hide replies

I think going by the responses people have submitted on rediff to your interview, they i.e. the people have lost their perspective. It is important for a state head to remain cool in situation like this and do not think about getting re-elected. How the CM has argued and proved his point once and again through out the interview shows his mental strength in tough situations.

Mr CM- wake up. By supporting MIM, you are indirectly responsible for the blast and terrorist activities in the state. Congress has been known for apeasement and can go to the extent of compromising the security of the country. By their track records, they will not take any actions against the real culprits and will do everything to make the Mullahs/Clerics happy.

We blame Muslims as being vote bank for Congress, come on we dont expect them to vote for barbarics like the BJP and other hindutva groups whom my hindu brothers support and elect.

How can we have the balls to point fingers at Muslims who never supported and elected any extreme minded Mulsim political party since independence. They have even rejected the Muslim league who even after so many years cant even win a handful of seats. In contrast we elected the BJP for religious reasons and for bringing down Babari Mosque. We elected BJP in Gujarat for murdering Mulsims, so who are more tolerant? We support terror based parties like Bajrang dal, Shiv Sena, RSS, the list is endless.

Lets not get carried away and see the facts and stop represnting hinduism here as you all are the worst ambassadors for secular hindus who reject facists and fanatics like the ones in these discussion groups.

Would you vote for Militiant groups who claim to be muslims?, no you wouldnt so why should they.

All said and done, YSR does not have the charisma of CBN. CBN was charismatic as his predecessor.

Wioll Rediff stop this Bullshit of Schmoozing the Congress/ It's Leaders & touch the real issue of Terrorism/ Terrorists? Enough of this Gosipping Business. Nobody cares about Reddy or Chaddi or any Lungi - Pungi so much as the Safety of their Own Lives.
People are just interested to know what Fool - Proof Strategies have been planned to take care of this Social Cancer called Terrorism, once & for all. 'Coz it's high time now that the Needless Waste of Blood & Lives be Curbed.
Our Politicos give a shit for any Blast or Riot or Natural calamity. Such things are but mere Godsent opportunities for these swines to Cash in upon, both Politically & Monetarywise.

Any person who loses his stability of media accusations , is not definitely a good adminstrator. The way he is getting tensed of accusations of muslims itself, shows this. ultimately, slowly he is loosing his steam. Take care buddy. think of retirement.

Anybody who takes decisions to please media and get hype also are not good leaders.they can be considered as reactive C.M's.you travel thru rural Andhra Pradesh first How they have almost achived 7 to 10% shelter to rural poor in the last 2 years. He is an emotional person that does not mean he is not a good administartor(Example Ganguly was an emotional person but he is the most successful leader).FYI States require leaders not administartors.you can hire any no of administrators if you have will and conviction to do something.

This idiot has lost his mind. It was much better 3 yrs ago. He wants to take credit for FDI in Hyd? Nonsense. His opposition to computer was evident. Now he claims kudos of that? He is a lair. He is a failure as CM. His speeches as opposition ldr were to be practised now AP wd have been different. He has done everything possible to appease muslims, what did he get?
His free power (which brought him to power) is a history now, Farmers continue to commit suicide, Telangana issue is dead and upon his back stabbing TRS which was a part of UPA disintegrated. How many more failures? Police is a sickening bunch now. We are just wsiting for this guys term to be over so that he sits in his right place-oppsition ldr.

The indian politics is such that all the parties are hippocratic and it involves their leadres.
1)Congress : Full of corruption. I appreciate one thing atleast they are taking care of farmers as per to the person who interviewed YSR.
2)TDP : It is the hard working individuals of Andhra Pradesh who had got so much fame to HYD. Not chandrababu naidu. I feel that he came to power only becas he has media backing especially with Ramoji Rao.

In Andhra it is caste politics whether it is Kamma or Reddy.Who ever is not in power they try to ask the other to resign.

People here in this form doesn't acknowledge that an Home minister during TDP gov was killed by Naxlals,Ex-C.M chandra babu himself narrowly missed death. So they resignation to the post of C.M comes only by their death.

Raman you are overexpressing your frustration it is going to be the same whoever comes in to power.

MS. Sheela Bhatt, Do you follow AP closely?
by on Aug 30, 2007 06:59 AM  | Hide replies

We are all in shock about hyderabad blasts! The title of this interview is misleading!

Some of your interview questions seem all over the place and opinionated, irrelevant to the blasts, victims. It clearly seems you are attacking YSR in the interview.

Can you qualify the following statements you made in this interview:

1) It is because of the support of farmers, coupled with a good monsoon, that YSR has survived as chief minister despite countless attempts by his many adversaries in the Congress party and in the Opposition to dethrone him.

2) But the threat of anti-incumbency now worries him so much that it is imperative for him to win over the Muslim votes.

3) YSR appears desperate because analysts say that Nara Chandrababu Naidu's [Images] Telugu Desam Party is now on the upswing in Andhra Pradesh.

4) Your interview went off focus with this question: "Outside this room, the perception, I am talking about the perception, is that Hyderabad is doing great on the path of liberalisation and globalisation, here is a CM who is becoming a hero amongst farmers because you are giving free power, but, on the other side your politics vis-a-vis the minorities is going to take

Look at his answers for the questions. They are totally off focus too. this is B..S.. "It will be absolutely in line of my vision. At times a big state like Andhra Pradesh because of some jealous people who do not want Andhra Pradesh to progress may create problems like this but we know how to overcome them. We are heading a very competent government and a very competent police administration"
I think you follow telugu news papers....give it up

exactly-he is contradicting himself. The interview is well conducted as far as knowing how this cm is functional. As always-more words and words and less actions. He needs to understand the importance of this situation or its all of us who will be affected. He does not followup with events.Basically no one listens to him in his ministry even if at all he wants to do good.We need leaders who are more powerful and can take unlateral decisions at state level atleast in this situation.

1) It is because of the ... to dethrone him.
*This is your opinion*

2) But the threat ... Muslim votes.
*Isn't it pure speculation from your side*

3) YSR appears .... upswing in Andhra Pradesh.
*Do you have any facts to support that YSR is desperate. What do you say if somebody says CBN is desperate. Please stay away from emotional statements."

4) Your interview went off focus with this question: "Outside this room, the perception, I am ..... to take AP nowhere.
*Is it the appropriate context to ask this question. How closley do you follow AP to ask these percpetion based questions*

Please stick to facts and stay away from opinions and superficial conclusions.
I look forward to rediff to stay up-to-date.

The questions about perception of the YSR government on appeasing minorities stems from several actions of the government including reservations and the manner in which the Taslima case is handled. The city police commissioner did not press IPC 307 charges (attempt to murder) against the MIM, despite physical attacts and documented threats against the writer.
The interview in my opinion is the best conducted in light of the twin blasts. People in the state are disillussioned about YSR style of overlooking muslim radicalism.
Sheela Bhatt had dared to confront the chief minister with the right questions. The questions were candid and did not was eloquent on rough issues.

instead they act smart and big.
