Why do we keep referring to our deities as "Lord"? Why not say Bhagawan ; e.g. Ganesa Bhagawan? The title Lord always reminds me of the English peerage.
this is indian auspicious event n should be carried on. this is a way of paying homage to lord ganesha.. if we will stop this, our cuming generation will be un aware of such event n soon the time vil cum that..it will be the part of history pages
some people don't understand the value of 'Bhakti',they calls it a myth..for those who follow will be a injustice. The tradition is goin on since decades..and stopping them will be a foolish thing.
This is to bring to the notice of Mr Ravinder that Ganeshotsav is the only festival which brings people from all religions together and they all celebrate which is not or never the case during any of the festival ; Don't you feel that navratri, etc create the pollution.
Keep up the tradition. I dont think its right to stop the traditions just for the sake of environment.
We can continue the tradition and look for solutions to minimize the impact on environment. Putting nirmalya in separate containers is a good solution implemented few years back. We can find out many more solutions like this.....
10-11 days of Ganeshotsava are so wonderful, its a huge celebration reason for all - poor, rich, children, aged, hindu , muslims (yes Lalbaug raja is more famous in muslims)everybody
You forget all fears, tensions and instead enjoy festive mood, salute creativity (so many ganesh idols in so many forms), purify your souls with Bhakti Ras in all these days
Now many mandals are also doing social services by properly utilising donations received for Ganeshji
There are a lot of other factors which we should obsess making environmental pollusion. She should protest against those first. Please stop critisising social-religious (Hindu/Christian/Muslims) by making such silly comments/obsess.
