With reservations for Muslims, allowing Lakhs of Bangladeshies in Assam to change its demograph, & creating Kashmir problem, atleast Congress+UPA+Left cannot provide a solution.

Nevertheless, since Indians have so "overwhelmingly" voted for "secularists", we should now not only ignore Terrorism but create an environment in the country wherein it can grow & finally overcome us.
UPA govt., has taken the first step by repealing POTA.

Most likely Congress+NCP will come back to power in Maharashtra, so Dawood & company can breathe easy.

Its like someone once said "When rape is inevitable, lie down & enjoy it".

Hindus are good spectators. For centuries we have seen people come & plunder us. Hindus never bothered to confront.

What can change a Hindu mind, only God knows.

We have lost Kashmir , we will be loosing Assam in a decade or so, and rest will follow.

But who cares, as one "secularist" apparently said on a TV show, we will not be living that long anyways.

China is already swallowing Nepal with their proxy Maoists. These Maoists have been provided with logistics support by large underground network of ultra communist parties. Naxalities in India has strong links with Maoists in China. The worst thing is that Indian mainstream media is not only ignoring these threats but also actively trying to legitimize Maoism and Naxalism. Once Nepal is fallen, it's easy to bring chaos to India through Assam and North East. Communists seems enjoying their coming red revolution.
China in this grand strategy is setting Hindus Vs Hindus to bring chaos in India.

India can tackle Pakistan anyday once and for all with a decisive war. But these 'seige within' by communists who are puppets in hands of China is a real threat to India, it's culture and the society.

What I say may look odd and impossible. Let the whole world turn to vegetarianism which will be a solution to a lot of problems our contemporary world faces.

I agree - the slaughter of countless BILLIONS of helpless animals just to pleasure the senses is a crime of such great proportions that God has probably decided that human barbarians need a dose of their own medicine. So much pain and anguish released into the air would pollute the noblest of shrines and make them impotent. This may indeed be the reason why various forms of monstrous evil are around us today. We should ALL become veggies - there are NO significant nutritional advantages in non-vegetarian food anyway.

It seems that mr rajeev you have the wrong idea about islam ... before telling you something ... i want to ask you the following questions ..

1) Do u know what Islam is?
2) Have u read the Holy Quran and its Meaning
3) Do u have any idea about the teachings of the holy prophet mohammed
before coming into conclusion about your tainted version of Islam , you should properly do u homework well .... your artcile is nothing but rediculous , you are trying to provoke non- muslims to go hostile against muslims..your are abosolutley right that many muslims where involved in acts of terror.. what about the attrocities done by Bush? have u forgotten it? By Slaughtering innocent people bush is saving the world from terror.. i want to know why these double standards while dealing with the same cituation... when right wing hindu activists attack innocent muslims its Nationalism.... and if a muslim's create such a activity it is Terrorism, have you forgotten Gujrath so soon... what about Hindu Terror in Gujrath?? what about Hindu Terror in orissa??
Please do not write or publish such controversial artciles where you yourself do not know what Islam is all About

Can you deny the inscriptions of Quran in the form of AYATs , where KAFER's men women and properties are spared? Expansion by killing is the rule ! Some muslims dont do it because they themselves were converted by force in the past !They have hereditory softness in their blood! but underIslamic DICTUM
They also become unpredictably ferrocious!

Kashmiri pundits are driven out! Bangladesh is seeing atrocities on Hindus ! West Pakistan droveout al non-muslims !

Innocent Sudanese are being killed in thosands
in order to free that land for Muslims

India is being WON by NUMBER GAME ( WEAK DEMOCRACY!)

Many more to quote

If you call yourself Indian accept facts !

There is no way I would like to justify the horrible riots in Gujrat, but it was nonetheless retaliatory. What do you mean by Hindu terror ? Give me even one example of a Hindu who has committed horrible crimes because "God ordained him" or "Its written in the Vedas" or "Hinduism preaches it"..... There is no justification for inhuman acts in Hinduism (not even in its misinterpretation). No Hindu will ever be able to hide behind religion if he is gulity of crimes against humanity...he wont even dare to say that he did it under religious obligation like Islamic terrorists "always" do !! If hindus have resorted to violence, it will probably because of their own individual perversions or on provocation and not because it is their "religious duty".

Rajeev,
U r absloutely right..For once someones calling a spade a spade..
Am sure a lot of Psedudo Psecularists are going to condemn u for this...

But yes the facts are that today terrorism has become monopolised..
to all the pseudo psecularists..
Instead of talking of living in peace which every hindu wants to do always ask u r self as to why every troubled spot in the world today is because of a muslim entity
...chechnya,kashmir,9/11,iran,iraq,afghanistan,pakistan,albania/kosovo the list goes on...
Peace comes with blood
Cowardice cannot be passed of as peace(Every one of the gods we worship rama, krishna etc have stood up to evil...they were neither cowards nor hypocrites which hindus have become)
I pray for us

Still confusing issues Ryan !
by gauzbig on Oct 03, 2004 11:27 PM
Ryan I quote your last posting 'I never said terrorist stems exclusively from religion, but in the current scenario that is happening'

We cannot combat and vanquish terror if we are selective in approach or focussed on only certain forms of terror.

I say that in the current scenario misplaced religious interpretation is ONE form of persuasion that energises acts of terror.

ALSO,acts of terror are being propagated by so called atheists (naxalites and other ideologues) and religious heretics (if I can so classify people like the Staines murderers and the orchestrated pogroms in Mumbai and Ahmedabad for e.g.)

So then, why are we singling out one particular religion which is being misinterpreted? What exactly are we trying to prove ?

The point is that when we draw arbitrary lines to obscure and obfuscate rather than act decisively (we are choosing to turn a blind eye). We are then as double faced as the US and the patrons of terror (who see terrorists as freedom fighters or an aggrieved/frightened people)

We need to be consistent ourselves and principled in our approach to combatting terrorism BEFORE we start pointing fingers elsewhere (US and its lackeys).

Everyone is ready with lip service when it comes to the woes of Kashmiri Pandits, but we do not see the same sort of zeal towards solving their problems as was seen towards victims of Gujrat riots. Why this hypocricy, I have never really figured out !!

Dear Preeti,

What do you "want" me to say abt Staines Murder ? It was a "crime", and the person responsible should be prosecuted by law, because you can at the most call him a criminal and not a terrorist. Whatever be the reason, political or otherwise, one thing is certain that it was NOT under religious indoctrination ! There has been nothing mentioned in Hinduism about killing people who try to propagate (read force) their faiths..... it can be at the most out of fear of serious reprecussions of conversion (elaboration on that is outside the scope of this post.), but then "fear" is a human emotion and not characteristic of Hindus.

Now let me ask you something...what do you think of the exodus and massacre of "millions" of Kashmiri Pandits ? What about people inside the train in Godhra ? People are concerned about "one" Staines, "hundreds" of Muslims, but not "Millions" of Hindus. For people who have to live under fear in their own homeland and who have been victims of inhuman crimes against them for centuries, I guess Hindus still exhibit remarkable sanity when it comes to religious tolerance.

by Gauzbig on Oct 02, 2004 10:30 PM
Ryan your response is alarming.

Firstly, terrorism is not an exclusive by-product of religious persuasion and if we are serious about terrorism then any persuasion (religious, ideological et al) that leads to terror acts is abhorrent and should be combatted. It's disingenuous to suggest that terrorism stems only from religion.Cultural anarchists and social deconstructionists propagate it just as well...

As to what constitutes acts of terror have been attempted to be defined by the UN and also various governments. I dont need to use this board. All I'd say is that it is facile to apply spin. So freedom fighters...fear ridden peoples....protectors of social values ..and terms like these are plain spin to draw a non existent distinction in order to condemn and prosecute one and condone another. This is not only dangerous but a seroius blow to combatting terrorism.

Again rhetoric aside. Kashmir continues to haunt and concern us..but where did you get your numbers from...not that it detracts from the issue...but do we have to aggravate a serious situation in Kashmir by exaggeration (diplaced Kashmiri Pandits many are in Jammu by the way)do NOT run into "millions"

I was talking about "Hindus" in general and not "Kashmiri Pandits" in particular. Three hundred thousand Kashmiri pandits alone....u can keep adding from all over the world as well as from History n it'll definitely come up to a million.

I never said terrorist stems exclusively from religion, but in the current scenario that is happening. I wasnt trying to dissect the meaning of "terrorism" anyway, but if an ideology is strong enough to brainwash Harvard Graduates to go on suicide missions, then it definitely requires serious attention.

How to avoid 9/11s & Beslans
by Prakash on Sep 30, 2004 02:00 PM  | Hide replies

Rajeev's article merely takes up the issue of combating islam. The vanishing religions didn't vanish only becaues of Islamic onslaught. There must have been some intrinsic drawback to the organization of each vanishing religion.

Take, for example, the people who identify themselves as Hindus today. Where is the organization? What does the religion offer to its follower? What does it do to discourage poaching by other religions? What does it do to its own constituents who openly work for the benefit of other groups and religions (The communist and secularist Hindus working hand-in-gloves with Islamic militants go unpunished. Has a single secularist ever been bycotted? Forget a social boycott, has a single secularist been denied Darshan in Tirupati? Only last week, Lalu Prasad Yadav was blessed by Tirupati....). Even leaving aside those things, has any Hindu establishment done anything to tell the world that they are different from Muslims just to make sure that Hindus are not targetted in the backlash of Islamic fundamentalist terrorism?

Unless Hindus establish a better organization, the HINDU religion will soon join the Zorastrians.

A Path should be charted for "positive" secularism.
Since people have not chosen their religion or caste
henceforth the following arrangements need to be made
by our CONSTITUTION:
a. All concerned Hindus should be allowed to change
their caste to 'HUMAN'.
b. All Sharia opposing, non-sectarian Muslims should
be able to choose a sect 'HUMAN'.
c. All who want to be totally liberated should be able
to choose their RELIGION to be 'HUMAN'.
One of my strongest convictions is that a deeper
understanding of the nature of our mind, the mental
states and emotions, must lead to the development
of some kind of educational philosophy; so that
even within a secular context, there are things
from religious insights and religious practices
that could be applied, free of God or religion, to
the same human emotional reality. When it comes to
commitment to transform society, it should not come
through any religious teaching but through general
education -- an EDUCATION with a scientific
basis. I feel the modern scientific minds should
gather themselves to help in this larger agenda.
Indians specially Hindus should take the lead and do
it. Buddha had solved it in 2500 B.C.

'So the world has to do something with their Muslim populations' - Pray to your Gods to bring a mighter force that USA, to annihilate the Muslims from this planet - otherwise I cannot see how you are going to achieve your objectives - very cheap article. Typical RS style (I was wondering, there was no Muslim bashing in Part 1, but you definately did not dissappoint me in Part 2) The author is comparable to the hostage takers of Beslan etc. in terms of his wishful thinking and mind set. by bp on Sep 30, 2004 01:45 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Rajeev,

What you have written is true. But, being from a civilised group, I am not able to accept that murder can be done in a religious manner - if I could accept that I would become a muslim - which again is undesirable.

See this is like cancer. Once it has come into the world, living with it is a pain, so is dying and so is trying to remove it.

One solution is declare a few countries as non-muslim countries where muslims are not given entry/citizenship. This would at least leave some space in this world for civilisation to survive.

The other way is to become Muslims. But even that is not a solution as there are lot of castes among muslims. The highest in the heirarchy is the muslims in Arabia. Then those in Europe and US. Then come those in central Asia and Pakistan. Last are those from India.

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO - SORRY

Thank you very much Mr. Rajeev. If I am not wrong you are the first person and rediff.com the first site to bring up this issue. This issue is burning me inside for the last couple of years, however I did not find a single person whom I can explain the sword that is hanging on our head. It's a matter of max 20-40 yrs from now tht people will understand, however it will be too late. The worst part of this issue is our own govt fro the last 50 yrs has not done anything....probably they did not understand the situation. I really wonder is there a way out of this? I really have a lot of information to share with you. I will mail you bout this in details

Is't it obvious to surmise what would happend to the Hindus, from what happened to jews for not having their own land, from what happened to the Hindus in Afghanisatan, Pakistan and Bangaladesh? The idots who are busy bashing each other with the caste prejdice, once become a minority will inherit dog's life. There is no Britisher to keep peace and justice. You are on your own as a lamb in front of a hungry butcher.
