Injustice according to Islam
by Rajender Razdan on Oct 01, 2004 07:12 PM

Rajeev makes some excellent points here, especially with regard to the use of the term 'innocent' in Islam. The same is true with the use of the word 'injustice' within Islam. Talk to any muslim in the World, and you will find them parroting common themes about 'injustices' in Kashmir and Palestine. I come from Kashmir and know for fact that Kashmiri muslims have been completely molly-coddled by the Indian government. The amount of capital that flows to Kashmir, filling the coffers of Kashmiri muslims, is far above that which goes to any other state in India. Non Kashmiris are not even allowed to hold property in Kashmir thanks to Art. 370. So what injustice are muslims talking about when they talk about Kashmir? And surely fighting back the terrorists sent by the Pakis can't be considered an injustice. Digging deeper one finds that by injustice muslims really mean nothing more than the fact that a non-muslim regime is holding sway over a muslim population.

What a waste...

Marxists have the worst human rights records, the war on terror is a hoax, the Wests reaction to Beslan is a sham, Islam is the root of evilBlah, blah blah. Rajeev spews bytes without presenting a solution. If he took a break in Maldives, he would meet some of the gentlest people on the Earth, all Muslims. In backward Indonesia, sex tests of embryos are not banned. In Malaysia and Turkey, governments are moderate and Islamic extremists are sidelined. Tolls on Malaysian highways are mostly manned by women, unlike in India. Islam is not savage. Some Saudis, Pakistanis and Central Asians are. The War on Terror IS a fraud (read Absolute Friends). We have to counter terrorism! Do we have the ability to surgically hit the mafia dons who fund terror? If a group attacks Parliament, can our intelligence agents strike back ? Are customs/border officials motivated and monitored to ensure that terrorists cant sneak in weapons? Simply put: Islamic terrorists want to reach Allah, its our duty to get them there. Indias record is poor on that front. Rediff has many hues of pundits writing columns -its a pity that very few write anything that might remotely lead to real action.

I am forced to agree

I have always criticised RS, but this time I agree with him. When I saw innocent children being attacked, I really felt that visiting and telling those pigs what I thought of them with my sword, even though the children are no relatives of mine. What the Nato(US and buddies) are reaping now, is the result of their unlawfull support for terrorists (Pakistan, Afgan, kosovo, etc). The only way the terrorists know to say "thank you" is by blowing up a train in Madrid or kidnapping french people (even though France was against the Iraq war). They (NATO) should have allowed us to finish Pakistan once and for all when we won in 65 and 72, instead of stopping us. When we support a wrong cause, we will have to pay for it. Mrs. Gandhi had either supported or turned a blind eye to terrorists like LTTE, RSS, Awami, etc., etc., and we all know the wonderful results of that. I don't know whether hostility is the correct way, RS. Should we not punish only the guilty, and not engage in barbarianism like the terrorist themselves? What is the point of collective punishment? Don't we have to purge ourselves first of the terrorists (Sangh Parivar)within our ranks too?

Good comments. But why did it take a terrorist strike in *Russia* to make you see the light? This is so common among Indians/people of Indian origin. The inability or unwillingness to acknowledge the horrific( and it really horrible) terror that *India* has experienced, right to this very day! Kashmir, Punjab,Assam, Nagaland, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Delhi...

Mr. Varun, victims are/were related to Russian communists and our Indian Communist (Anil Pillai) saw the dangers of terrorism immediately. he never believed it when Indians were suffering due to terrorism

Lack of vision
by haphar on Oct 01, 2004 12:33 AM

Everyone crying about the "horror" of being taken over by Muslims and talking of the "evils of Islam" forgets that there was a time when Hindusim was so stifling that people left it in droves to join Budhism. That medivial Christians opressed muslims and killed them more then muslims to Christians, and the Spanish Church led Inquisition was a precursor to Hitler's genocide. And the medivial church ushered in the dark ages in europe, being repressive and stifling.
The world survived that and will survive this, both Hindusim and Chrisitianity evolved to become more tolerant, but then people driven by hatred of other religions will not like to look at fact, they would like to support anything ( true or not) that helps them prove their points. Hence all the rabid right winger that Rajiv attracts.

You can stop
by truth on Sep 30, 2004 10:51 PM

You can stop the 9/11's & BESLANS, Provided that the IRAQ's & AFGHANISTAN's are stopped first. It is the latter that eventually leads to FOrmer.
One cannot tie the hands of an innocent and beat him hard and also say that he should bear the brunts without any reaction.
