Scape goat
by Ranganath on Jun 19, 2004 01:08 AM

This is utter nonsense... Modi is being made the scape goat. Whatever Modi did is for the well being of the nation and Gujrat in particular. Modi is our greatest leader. Vajpayee should take sanyasa from politics. Hez too old to think about India's future now.

Democracy has Lost
by Anand on Jun 19, 2004 01:00 AM

If Mr Modi will be replaced, it will be loss of Indian Democracy. When the people of gujarat have twice voted Mr Modi to power by 2/3 rd majority, it will be shame that any other leader takes over as the CM.

If Mr Modi will be removed then BJP will loose its future chances of finding a lotus in Gujarat too.

I appreciate Mr Modis guts to send hiver down the terrorist minded people.

We need more MODIS to make an IRON INDIA

Modi out
by Sumant on Jun 18, 2004 11:55 PM

If instead he was kicked out of the party and power right after the riots, BJP would probably have had better chanes of winning the elections.

Better late than never, but still its unforgivable. He should be tried for crime and sentenced to life.

Modi...Modi...Modi....Media has a wipping boy every day news flashes! go ahead Mr, ED,till you are tired!
by D.K.Sengupta on Jun 18, 2004 11:42 PM

Modi is not going so easily, inspite of NDA motivated

Vajpayee, the 'alzeimers' forgetful ex-PM,who in Hindi

term "SATHIA GAYA" besides the Media/Press spent every

day this juicy-news in their columns & oppositions

probably now too tired to howl on MOdi....internally

Mr.Modi is too strong that it is not possible for

Media/Opposition/Vajpayee groups to oust Modi to fur-

ther appease the Muslims, who are producing populations

unchecked,to be a part of "Let"/Talibans,to liberate

India,from this Muslim-appeased vote-bank DEMOCRACY to a full fledget Trans-himalayan Islamic coridoors,

starting from Kashmir to Punjab to Up to Bihar to WB

to Assam & N/E....where the population have already been takenover to 30/35% exclusive Muslims, along with

illigal migrants, encouraged over three decades by

communists vote-bank to rule WB & Tripura. Now the

silly re[port you have given from your imagination

that two discarded ex-ministers Shantakumar,who didn,t

have any base in his own constituency ,after removal

from ex-BJP govt. & Mehta of Gujrat is waiting from time to time to be a prospective CM one day.WE FEEL

EXTREMELY PITY THE TYPE OF YOUR IMAGINATIVE NEWS ITEM,

HAVE REAL-JOURNALISM

Modi may resign
by Sachchidanand Dhar on Jun 18, 2004 11:32 PM

Immediately after Gujarat riots-BJP won assembly elections there. During parliamentary elections-BJP won Rajasthan , Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh-they have made gains in Karnatak. Andhra's loss is Chandra Babu's loss-BJP suffered in his company.Uttar Pradesh's loss! well it would be utterly unjustified to blame Modi for that.BJP should have kept ear to ground- there. They have been vascillating there. In any case- if they wish to come to power with support of minorities, it would be better to dissolve BJP altogether - and all of them should join the two Yadav parties-Mulayam and Laaloo.

Narendra Modi

Read the acticle with interest. Anti-Gujarat media, biased NGOs, some self-assumed humanists, and psuedo-secular partie opposing BJP have kept the post-Godhara issue alive even after more than two years have passed. People of Gujarat - Hindus as well as Muslims - are trying to forget the past and living in harmony, and wish the cordial atmosphere continue. Over and above loss of human lives and properties, both the communities in Gujarat have suffered huge loss in terms of business, goodwill etc. and are trying to come to level by maintaining peace. But the above elements curing the wounds, are trying everyday to open them. It is sad that some people from BJP, including Shri Atalji, did not see this vital point, and have joined spreading salt on the wounds of people of Gujarat. Communal riots are not new in Gujarat, as anywhere in India. This is the legacy of Congress, but that is different matter.

Narendra Modi had sought mandate of people of Gujarat by announcing election after March 2002, and he got it. Then BJP also won last years election in 3 states. Then why should he be held responsible for loss in recent election ? The party failed to bring supporting voters to vote, as
