Why just Rs. 20 lakhs for each party? They should be made to pay for all the losses incurred by the state and the country. As a matter of fact these political leeches who suck blood from the country by using bandhs and other such devices to their convenience (at the drop of a hat!) should be de-recognized and jailed for hindering the progress of the country! First they create all kinds of problems, and then the bandhs - shameful!
This is one of the very few instances where the political party has been punished. If the political parties do not realise the damages caused by calling a bandh, only a strict law can help. Bandh causes heavy financial loss to the economy, by obstructing its normal functioning. Even the innocent men are made to pay. Worst are the cases of medical emergencies deprived of proper transportation or assistance.
The Hon`ble Court`s order is most welcome. But will Sena/BJP abide by the order or go to SupremeCourt and wriggle out of the punishment? The fine should have been atleast a crore or more, plus imprisonment for some leading lights. The Court should also fine Maharashtra Govt. for not implementing Justice Sri Krishna`s instructions and the fine should be atleast one crore. The court should also ban the use of "Sena" in any organisation`s name. Otherwise, there would soon be some Goonda Sena, Murder and Arson Sena, Burn Christians Sena, Worship Atal Sena, Protect Criminals Sena etc. D.Thorat
