The Hospitals should also be sued for Negligence
by Arun Lester on Nov 22, 2003 10:25 AM

The Shanti Mukund Hospital and the government hospitals must be sued for negligence, since their carelessness is also responsible for her to be in such severe state. It is the responsibility of the employer to take care of the employees when on duty.

We can all help if we want to that is

It is indeed gratifying to know that we all strongly bond over such issues and try best to do what we can. I have requested Apollo Hospitals - New Delhi to attend to the nurse and let me bear her medical expenses. I also wrote to Pratidhi the NGO which is taking care of this nurse and PRatidhi is one of the many NGOs that is being funded by Concernindia.org. I offered financial help already to the nurse and we all together probably can give more moneys to her. At the same time pls note that Pratidhi or Concernindia need to run on regular moneys so that their volunteers can reach out to such victims and help rehabilitate them. Concernindia actually is a public charitable trust and co-ordinates their work with the police, medical, legal professionals and also ensures vocational training to the affected such that they start earning their livelihood.
So Why don't we mobilise more money and ensure that monetary help is definitely provided ? Meanwhile the nurse has been given about Rs. 35,000 and concernindia is trying to get her the promised money from Delhi govt of Rs. 50,000. An artificial eye is being put on her and her left eye is likely to be salvaged, she now has a permanent job
