The lady might be called a fundamentalist by some, but she sure knows what shes talking about.
a. You certainly make peace with you neighbour but NOT with your predator.
b. Isnt history full of examples where an olive leaf was extended first, and then an IRON fist was smashed to conquer the fools. If one kargil and several thousand army men dead isnt enough, what is? Are we going to remain content with just giving medals on R-Day or will we indians be MEN and stand up to the scourge of terrorism?? And of course, let us get bullshit like MFN out of the way! How many times will we get fools made of ourselves before we come to our senses?

History is changed not by the diplomacy of a select few, but by the blood and sweat of the millions.

Pakistans perfidies have been well documented in your article which is now known the world over, except for those whose views are eternally focused to malign India. But Varsha, whenever you present hard-hitting and compulsive articles which more and more people would like to read, understand and disseminate, your bringing to the surface, a sort of hate campaign of people belonging to other communities is in a very bad taste. During the American aggression against Iraq, most of the Indian public, even those inimical to Iraq supported and expressed sympathies for them. This was largely due to the situation in which a secular and sovereign nation was made to suffer and then unleashed the barbaric attack. If some people among us wanted to go to Iraq and do what they wanted, it should be generally considered as an expression of their emotional feeling.

You may collect and compile all that is written on your article from the message board and you will come to know the communal hatred your article has generated. It is a pity that an influential journalist like you dwells into narrow ideological mind set.

Will the lion roar?--part2
by vish on May 27, 2003 12:10 PM

Do WE have guts to support the leaders if they decide to take such actions?

WE, the voters of largest democracy in the world, will protest against them if at all they take such a decision.

WHY???
Because we think the freedom we got is out of efforts of ONE man, Gandhi and his Non violence.
Freedom without bloodshed....bulshit.
(Yes it was without shedding blood of the leaders.)
This is what we had been taught in schools.
There is no mention of other matyrs who were preaching us to sacrifice the life for our country by their actions.
But the real history is untold. And there lies the real problem.
Why Israel achieved it?
because they realise the value of freedom.
They are aware of the terrible bloodshed and haulocast that happend in past.
Their history is not concealed from their children.
Nobody taught them to ofer the other cheek when one was slapped.
Problem is with the mindset.

Birds CAN fly because the THINK they can fly

Our janata needs an overhaul of mindset
They need to realise that they need to shed some blood if they dont want their children to shed tears.
if we dont sacrifice, our children will not be left with anything to sacrifice JAI HIND!

Will the lion really roar??---part1
by vish on May 27, 2003 12:05 PM

Hi varshaji

Fantastic article. Real eye-opener.

But will just the technological tie-ups help our armed forces to end the terrorism in india?
No.Does our leadership have guts to use the advanced equipments?

Does it want to build a image of secular and liberal india at the cost of lives of their citizen?

What image of india was projected to the world when we released Masood azhar and other two terrorists?

Curent CM of J&K is the man who started it all.
It was the first time when our government was on its knees to negotiate for the safety of his daughter.

Now terrorists are released from jails without any efforts of kidnapping. What an irony!

We are having technological tie-ups with Russia for a long time.
Our armed forces are equipped with russian technology.
But our leaders are not mentally tough as Putin to destroy terrorists
at the cost of few innocent lives(which the terrorists are going to take some day or other anyways)
Do WE have guts to support the leaders if they decide to take such actions?
