I think Advani Ji has spoked frankly about his past days when he was young. His interest in reading books has given him so much of knoweledge and power of good judgement.

i dont undrstand why we start judging. advani may not be a liberal in the conventional sense but thats no reason to demonise him. visionaries ought to have a way of translating their vision into reality .otherwise history will remember them as peter pans.
it would be worth knowing how many indian authors had/have nehruji, rajiv, indira,c b naidu, s m
krishna read to understand india. also does a man who spends his life in public really need to read books to understand people with whom he deals firsthand?

Democracy in India
by Jayachandran on Jun 08, 2003 05:18 PM

I am pretty sure that you won't put my remarks in your message board as was in few cases before. But still I cannot help saying these. "As Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee contributed from our side, from Congress side Nehru contributed immensely [to democracy]". What a comparison! Neverthless nobody knows what exactly was the contributions of Syamaprasad Mukherjee to the democracy or for that matter the Jansangh or Hindu Mahasabha. The democracy in India or anywhere else is evolved through the micro struggles of the workers, the unprivileged, women and ordinary human beings. It is not imposed from the top at all!

I am surprised that a myopic personality like Advani has a passion other than Ram Mandir. It was an interesting revelation. Although I must say that well read communal people are more dangerous than the illiterate ones because they administer poison effectively and without remorse.

advani

whatever he is ,whatever he likes , whatever his habita are, he is the one person who did a lot to destraghten , to destablise our democracy,
unknowingly , or knowingly he is one of the persons who destablised indian democracy, who pulled back the indian youth thousands of years back to the barbaric era, when there were no ideology of love but muscle power and hatred,
still now nothing is lost, if really believes that a person should be true to him self, he should leave any contact with organisations like rss and bajrang dal, and propagate love and try to educate the masses of india , as a sincere home minister.
thanks
arvind

Advaniji
by Venugopal Velloth on Jun 08, 2003 02:43 PM

We Indians should feel proud to have him as our PM sooner or later and everyone should contribute to achieve this goal. He has so far been able to keep his kith and kin away from his work and this should be appreciated when the foster children of others are having a great time.

Balkanisation of India is still the agenda of certain western nations and the recent mudslinging by even the so called matured politicians is unwittingly playing into their hands to foster the Mafia to India. Everyone one in his party(BJP) regardless of their position should gracefully and magnanimously handover the mantle to him rather than getting selfish and clinging and horsetrading to reach their narrow selfishness.

what a good passion
by kaushik on Jun 08, 2003 11:37 AM

these good passions reflects the heart and integrity of people.

I would suggest Mr. Advani to write something on
""what Pakistan lost on getting freedom""

This is very important way to deal with Pakistan.

Advaniji's passion
by Amit on Jun 08, 2003 10:18 AM

He should be our next PM. I simply adore his statemanship and his stature, which is like that of Sardar Patel. In our system of politics, when every person pulls others' legs if he is succeeding, we need pro-active politicians like him!
