Ashok Mitra is irrelevant
by Vithal Pai on Feb 18, 2003 03:39 AM

People such as Ashok Mitra in responsible positions is the tragedy of India. I read his column and immediately decided to cancel any future subscriptions to India Abroad. It is people like AM, that Have caused me to cancel my trips to India. A shallow man, living in a jealous fantasy, bottom feeding louse that advices us not to ga ga at Kalpana Chawla's death and calls V. S. Naipaul an India hater. When a great man performs his duty by doing constructive criticism of India people like Ashok Mitra come out of the wood work and call them India haters. They are not India haters, but these people love India and want to see Indians doing good.

I would strongly recommend rediff to check this man AMs credentials out. May be you need to shuffle him back to some irrelevant desk job. I predict India is the loser because of Ashok Mishra and his lack of common sense. It is because of AM that money and investments do not come in to India. It is easier for us to make money by investing in China than in India. It is a shame we have people like AM writing for you

Long live India and Long live USA

I feel sorry for you....

Here is an author who knows nothing about capitalism. These are the kind of people who twist facts and figures to make up stories.

Mitra is right

Mitra has made an excellent analysis. I am an NRI from US, we suck in the area of contribution to the nation compared to the people from the middle east. I feel its discrimination on the part of the government (discrimination is not new to India). I hope we will have a day when every Indian will be treated equal.
