It is an excellent article prsented by Mr Mohan Guruswamy.Population is always discussed in most of the forum and conclusion drawn come to the same point that population is the real problem. Reduction in population can not solve the problem unless our resources are under utilised. Our politicians beurocrates planners and intellectuals do not give attention towards judicious utilisation of resources available in our India.I congratulate the author for this beutiful contribution. I request our big position holders in plotics government planning commission etc to give appropriate thinking on the poits brought by Mr Mohan Guruswamy probably we shall be able to tackle our problem of eliminating powerty.
This is quite a new perspective into the much talked about "India's population explosion problem". Full marks for Mohan Guruswamy for bringing forth the real cause of concern.
This article does not add anything to further the viewpoint that population is not our real problem. I think nobody denies that subsidies should be removed on food, gas etc. That does not mean we should not address the population issue. Without sounding to be an intellectual by siding with the masses, the population is the single biggest problem in our country. All efforts should be made to reduce the size, if necessary, by law.
I am sick and tired of such pro-capitalist and anti-human articles in favour of more population. Does it take so many brains to understand that the life standard would be better if we reduce our population through birth control?
