first of all remove nepotism. ppl dont want to see useless starkids like AB,ranbir kapoor ,sonakshi ,sonam etc
anymore.dont force starkids on ppl.stop running cinema on old uncles like the khans .there would be many talented young ppl in film institutes doing brilliant work in their institutes.many would also be joining other areas like the south films ,punjabi films bsce they would have struggled in bollywood and would not be getting any proper work and the work goes select minority of uselessly favoured ppl
result is garbage movies no one wants to see

I am totally confused

What he actually want to say. At one place his trashing the current cinema and the same time he is saying that older cinemas were based on fixed formulas like lost and found, rich boy-poor girl or vice versa kind of movies. So which is better, the old formulaic movies or current thematic movies?
The current movies are giving actors like him chances to continue working in movies, then why call them trash.
With each generation, the stories will change, the execution will change, the settings will change, the audience will change. My kids are not interested in watching sholay, which was touted as the first real action movie of Indian cinema because most of the current movies are action movies. In the west superhero movies or fantasy movies like spider man, superman,Avatar, jurassic park, captain America are huge hits, Similarly in India too the films like krrish and Bahubali became huge hits.
Today there is trend of multiplex cinema, the technologies have changed, no more reels now most of the cinemas are "dts" (direct to screen). Next generation may have "dth"(direct to home) i.e. cinemas will directly released on small screens(television). Single screen theater are already becoming obsolete in cities, in the next generation multiplexes might also get obsolete. people will watch movies sitting in the comforts of their home.
The only thing I agree with him is about the songs. The lyrics, the singers and the composers are worst. Today's songs are not hummable an

Older bollywood cinema was as trash as todays cinema. Ofcourse exceptions were there then too and even now there are some exceptions, but generally speaking, Bollywood films are trash.

Jayaprakash Balan
film industry also equally responsible
by Jayaprakash Balan on Sep 29, 2017 11:39 AM

While on one hand we have to agree to what Rishi Kapoor rightly says that its because audience is giving thumps up to trash, they are producing trash. But doesn't film industry has a moral responsibility towards producing good movies, good music, good poetry lyrics etc. Film industry is more responsible for the situation and its because of the stars sons like and star parents who go to any extent of marketing to launch their children. Secondly its the film industry people who in quest for crores have allowed pure businessmen to enter movie making business rather than passionate and knowledgeable producers, writers, directors, music directors. And businessmen why would they worry or want to think about good quality movies. They would obviously think of profit. Yesteryear that was the difference. The producers were people who knew the craft of movie making in and out and was passionate to deliver good product even at the risk of less profit. And why is Rishi Kapoor not blaming the stars. why can't they encourage good quality product than just thinking of stardom and 100 crore club. Who created 100 crore club, was it the audience or the film industry and media people. So, don't blame the audience blindly. Audience would still love and appreciate good quality movies and good actors. Its the film industry people especially the producers and stars who in connivance with media has spoiled the entertainment business.

Say what is at the back of your mind openly !

Which is that hindi speaking people, in general, are stuxpider than other Indians !

Which is why the the most insufferable bits of trash come out as hindi movies in such an unending and unbroken stream !

That is not the point.

The point is the proportion of trash in cinema !

While there is a significant minority (still far from a majority) of films in Malayalam, Bengali, etc that deal with topics in a realistic frame and do not attempt much to play to the gallery, such a proportion is lower in Telugu, Tamil, etc and almost non existent in hindi !!

Hindi movies are almost entirely trash !

Mr.Rishi Kapoor, please look after your son's career. Not to bullshit about others. You have tons of money and it seems you lost nothing in demonetisation. You are sending your son abroad to enjoy smoking along with a pakistani girl.
