If there was an emergency, there were so many corruption cases, why did we elect the same person as PM immediately after 3 years of emergency? In 1980, Indira Gandhi was reelected as the PM. Does that mean our earlier generation were fools? Definitely No... Because with all these that she did, she probably was still the best option. I am just being practical. Democracy works on the best option. So there is no point in cribbing on the past. When you blame an elected member in a democracy, you are actually blaming yourself as you are the one who repeatedly selected them among everyone to rule you. I hope ppl understand and stop being childish.
Now I will be bashed as a Congress supporter and all that. I do not support or oppose, just being pragmatic.

SUDHIR KUMAR
Indu Sarkar review

I have not seen the film but the review appears to be vitriolic and thus loses its objectivity. We are also forgetting how singer Kishore Kumar and actor Dev Anand were treated during the Emergency days when they refused to kowtow to the diktat of Congress bosses. I can understand the criticism of a film, but it is driven by an ideological hatred for a party, and thus lacks credence.
