See amjad was good and decent actor.almost mentally dark & pychopatheic actor .there are many more actors like this and their son always feel great.but use always give respect to co actors who are also reason for the film to be hit.
Every son like to think his father is great, there is no harm in it but to belittle other great actors is not at all good.he should curb this arrogance and increase his filmy gyan before commenting on other actors. Yes, I loved Amzad Khan's characters very much especially the villain characters but when you rate greatest villains of Hindi cinema then Pran occupies the first place and Amjad Khan is way behind when compared with Danny,Amrish Puri,Om Puri,Nassaruddin Shah,Ajit and so on.
SHOLAY SUCCESS IS NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF AMJAD KAHN HIS SON TOTALY WRONG THIS BECAUSE OF AMITABH DHARMENDRA SANJEEV KUMAR HEMAMALINI AK HANGAL ASRANI JAGDEEP AND EACH AND EVERY ARTIST PLUS SALIM JAVES SCRIPT PLUS RAMESH SIPPY FOR THE GREAT DIRECTION WITHOUT HIS HARD WORK ALL THIS ACTORS AND ACTRESS WERE NOT DONE THEIR JOB PROPERLY UNDER STAND .THATS CALLED TEAM WORK U CANNOT JUST GIVE CREDIT TO ONE PERSON FOR A SUCCESS OF A FILM SPECIALLY A FILM LIKE SHOLAY.
Had he kept his body in better shape, he would easily become a legendary villain or character artist. Besides Sholay his roles in Yaarana, Qurbaani, Laawaris, Mr.Natwarlal etc. were also good. BUT WHEN WE SAY AMRISH PURI-WE REMEMBER MOGAMBO FIRST, WHEN WE SAY AJIT-WE REMEMBER HIS ROLE LOYAN IN ZANJEER FIRST, WHEN WE SAY KULBHUSHAN - WE REMEMBER SHAAN FIRST. WHEN WE SAY SADASHIV AMRAPURKAR- WE REMEBER SADAK FIRST. SIMILARLY WHEN WE SAY AMJAD KHAN- THE FIRST PICTURE COME TO MIND IS GABBAR IN SHOLAY. THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE WAS NOT EFFECTIVE IN OTHER ROLES. THE HEIGHT AND GREATNESS OF ROLE WAS SUCH THAT ALL OTHER ROLES WERE BEEN COMPARED TO THAT ROLE. EVEN RAMESH SIPPY HIMSELF, OR FOR THAT MATTER NO OTHER DIRECTOR COULD EVER REPRODUCE SOMETHING LIKE SHOLAY. JUST LIKE K.ASIF COULD NEVER PRODUCE SOMETHING LIKE MUGHAL-E-AZAM. THESE FILMS COMES ONCE IN A WHILE AND THEY JUST HAPPEN, NOBODY HAS ANY FORMULA OR PLAN FOR IT,IT'S JUST THAT ALL THINGS WORKS OUT AND BEST COMES OUT. Just one example:- The man who played the character of Sambha has just one line to say in this movie "PURE PACHAAS HAJAR". That one line in entire film was enough for him till his lifetime. Even till recently people used to ask him to mimic those lines. Such was popularity of Sholay.
Beta tu bee mediocre actor ya writer banega because for you amitabh bachan is amitabh bachan, ramesh sippy is ramesh sippy , javed akhtar is javedsaab, salim khan is salimsaab.
Everyone is a superstar in Sholey. I doubt even with much effort, I can say someone could have done better. So the film was with full of stars, never ever again any one can touch and come near to this movie, it was so perfect.

Jayant, Amjad Khan’s father, whom I always admired for his acting and his royal personality. To me, Shaddab Khan looks more like his grandfather Jayant Saab. I am confident, Shadaab will create his own place in acting industry like his grandpa & his father did once very independently.
