A very moving and also a sensible article. Amjad has always been found to do justice to the roles he had been cast. But as Gabbar Singh he impressed every one of us and hence has had that tag always around him. We have been fortunate to have had few good actors to have lived long but have also been robbed of people like Amjad, Sanjeev Kumar at too young an age. Well that then is life. I wish his son a successful career with all my heart.
Amjad Khan is a legend forever. He immortalised Gabbar. And Gabbar immortalised him. His father, Jayant, too did memorable roles. Both had impressive dialogue delivery. Amjad did many good roles even after Sholay. Comedies too. I still remember his Qurbani, Lawaris, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Naseeb and many such performances. Unfortunate, his children did not further his legacy. Amjad lives on forever in our memories as an actor who had his own inimitable style.
