also to be mentioned Apoorva Sagodharargal, Punnagai mannan, varumaiyin niram sivappu and his one of the finest Avargal as ventriloquist. He is just amazing. Not mentioned about his great singing style like panner pushpangale, raja kai vacha, ponmaaney, etc. He is just born for cinema. No one in the world is so versatile like him. A true honest cinema man.

I likes many of your movies and a fan of yours from from vikram and appreciates your efforts for taking risky films in your production banner where other actors are not doing still now.keep on taking risky films in the Indian cinema.

kamal
by Ramesh bharat on Nov 08, 2014 07:11 AM  | Hide replies

while is true kamal is a great actor espceially when u consider the abysmal standards of indian cinema, it is alos true he is one of the most overrated actor/technicians in the film industry

Vast majority of his films were either inspired or copied..

Kamal confuses donning different disguises as acting

He is also a pseudo-intellectual with a very biased one dimensional view of society..

Its unfortunate in TN people like kamal, rajni are considered intellectuals

No one says Rajini is an intellectual....he is a humble and genuine person...And Kamal's movies span the entire gamut....many original stories and many remakes....but what stands out is his portrayal which is very original. Unlike other pretenders he doesn't go half measures and whether or not you find him entertaining....he doesn't go with mass appeal. Besides like Tendulkar in cricket....Kamal has all the ammunition and talent for any kind of cinema....for entertainment he has dancing, fighiting, body etc (and looks when younger) great command over language and for serious cinema he could push boundaries and commit to any sort of physical or mental pain. Compare this with bollywood stars like Aamir khan who did not even care to sport a stubble let alone mustache while playing Lagaan character....

missing from list
by n pramod on Nov 07, 2014 10:32 PM  | Hide replies

Swathi Muthyam (telugu) by director viswanath...

and Chandra mohan dominated (padaharu sridevi first film)...kamal is second on this one.

but the list misses..indrudu chandrudu, michael madana kama raju, pushpaka vimanam, vichitra sodaralu...the movies who made kamal a mass hero.

Add sagara sangamam, True....he could easily have a separate classics list in Telugu itself. A true genius...
