I totally agree with what Mr. Aseem Chhabra is saying. I remember when Namesake reviews were out in San Francisco Chronicle the reviewer has said about Tabu's performance in the movie,"If Us has Meryl Streep then India has Tabu."
she has said that in countless interviews.still thre are good film makers like vishal bharadwaj and many others can utilize the talent and good looks she got .
Mr. Chhabra, you are spot on. Unfortunately for Tabu, the Shyam Benegal-Govind Nihalani combine is absent today. Who knows, without them we may have missed Smita Patil too! Very well written.
