THEY SHOWED IT JUST FOR THE SAKE OF SHOWING IT
by Varun on Apr 26, 2014 11:31 PM

Nothing so much so great to talk about this movie - as a simple movie goer, i picked this movie today and I literally felt every aspect of the movie was incomplete - neither did they show the love making properly nor did the strong bondage of love that can take the lovers to such an extent like DDLJ

If getting married was their sole objective, they wouldn't have got into ex so much addictive-ly (as shown in the movie)

If she was to represent her existence from where she belonged, she wouldn't have been so open after getting so many proposals!

The movie was all about showing fingers at each others culture, eating habits, and what not - they didn't even spared the auto fellow on abusing

A definite let down with so much competition in Bollywood for good stories (I have a few better scripts in fact)!!!

Regressive moral inspector

This article is all written to woo the young minds who mostly are making most of the freedom the society has imparted them. Anything and everything can't be permitted in the name of freedom, progressive... otherwise there would be no difference between human beings and animals.
Human beings are blessed with wisdom which animals don't have (they are pre-programmed for s**). So think before writing and lets be Human.

Completely wrong-but not your fault

Reading this article made me feel that the author is sitting in an air conditioned room on an expensive couch, writing on a mac. There is no other reason to justify what he has written. Loud mothers, couples wanting their parents to approve of their marriage are things we middle-class people see almost everyday. Terming these things as "regressive" makes us wonder what the writer thinks of the khap panchayats who dont even allow girls to wear jeans. The vast difference between cultures is what makes parents insecure of inter-caste marriages. How would you allow your children to live with someone whose lifestyle is completely different from yours? It takes a while for parents to absorb this fact and they have all the right to do so since they are the reason of our existence.

Rubbish!

Making a film where you still value your parent's approval is regressive? WTH? There are still people in India whose marriages depend on their parents and their approval (in case of love). The family system of India is unique, and will never die. I am not saying that those who elope and marry are wrong. But nothing wrong in a couple wanting their parents approval.

It is not wrong to ask for parents' approval but this way, Indian kids do not move out of their parents' shadows. This is sad. People north of 21 years have the right to choose their partners...right?
