Songs are the most convenient, cheapest ... mode to refresh our mind, entertained from the bottom of our heart... surprising when we do not want to listen anyone but still comfortable with the same songs number of times in a day..

Her career zoomed in 1955 with the introduction of the great OP Nayyar and coincidentally, also nosedived with the departure of the same great OP Nayyar? I personally feel that she should not have ditched OP Nayyar in her own interest.
The above not withstanding, she deserves rich tributes on the occasion of her 80th Birth day. Why does the Central Govt not recognise her contribution to the music world and honor with Bharat Rathna?

I totally agree with you as far as Late O.P.Naiyar is concerned but to award her Bharat Ratna is rather too much of expectation. Dhiru Mistry

there had been great singers but still it is impossible to get proper substitute of natural singers like Asha Bhosle and Kishore Kumar
