by Kooda Mooda on May 26, 2013 02:12 PM

What a shame that this guy Tinu Anand has NOT seen Mr Ray's Greatest Film or even the greatest film ever made, named :Aashani Sanket" or Distant Thunder! All one billion indians MUST watch that greatest film ever made and if you have cosncience even 1% you will not be able to sleep for many weeks! How many indians know how many lakhs of our ancewrots were starved to death when the crooked britishers packed and sent millions of our food stuffs to UK, during world wars one and two and what was the reaction of our great freedom fighters mkgandhee&nehru??? did they fast till death, folks??? or they kept quiet when the silent genocide was going on???Read indian history archives to know more, folks!

Thanks to Tinnu Anand for sharing his experience with this great man.
Though almost all his films were in Bengali, the only Hindi/Urdu movie he made, Satranj Ke khilari, should be considered a treasure not only for film making but also this movie showed a particular period in Indian history in a very realistic and true light.

Kaalia was a very good movie, very layered and could have gone the Ankush, Aakrosh route but commercial considerations took over, but thats one movie that shows how circumstances shape a person though I am not sure if the makers wanted to show anything like that...
