You may be true. But I never ever go into the argument of which language is old, which language is pure, which language influences what and all. All I talk about is the language's relevance in a region.

@abc Unlike chennai and Hyderbad, Bengalore is a Bordercity neighbouring AP and TN. obviously the migration of ppl is inevitable.Regarding the relevance of language, yes i do agree but this is the problem with every indian states except Hindi speaking region in India.I think you have recently witnessed the UPSC galata.

Chennai is a bordercity to AP and you have scores and scores of telugus from Nellore belt here. In fact Chennai has a local train connecting to Nellore and you will find people packed to the core travelling.

@chandran... what is "galata"? I don't think it an english word. If you can't post in english, please don't visit this forum. You are better off watching UDAYA TV.

I dont know your liguistic intelligence but saying that Tamil had originated from kannada is the biggest joke that I've heard so far!! More than 60% of all the ancient archeological artifacts found in India are in Tamil. There is no literary work in kannada that is older than 2000 years. Tamil has atleast 5 big epic works that fit the bill. Tamil is taught & researched by many universities abroad. check facts first before shooting your mouth!!

TN never ever opposed Hindi as a language. All it opposed was "Hindi Imposition". There is a big difference to both. Google it to know the history. But for TN's intervention during the 60s, you and me you wouldn't be conversing in english now.
