Majority of the Bangaloreans consider Speaking Tamil in Bangalore will be considered as LTTEs and Learning Hindi/Urdu will be considered as TALIBANS.so i decided to learn better kannada.

for your information, bangalore city is dominated by Telugu and Tamils. Kannada is in forth place, next to Hindi. Appreciate their tolerance and love to others which is taken as undue advantage by the former three.
If the politicians does not rake up the language issue, there is absolute cordial string amongst one and all in Bangalore.

the base for all languages is only through Samskrit, the ancient language of Hinduism. Local language brings you closer to the locals and you share and enjoy their love and bondage.

when a german meets a german he talks to him in german, when a japanese meets a japanese, he talks to him in japanese, when a chinese meets a chinese, he talks to him in china, when a tamil/kannada/telugu/hindi/punjabi meets another of his clan, he talks only in English.

That is only among the educated class. Among the mass, its just the sign language. No single language can act as a connecting point in India and it isn't a surprise that we dont have a national language.

I beg to differ. Sanskrit is the root for the Aryan languages and Ancient Tamil ( not to be confused with present-day tamil) is the root for all Dravidan languages. Most of the south indian languages we have is a mix of both. Roughly, Telugu is 70% Dravidan and 30% Aryan. But kannada and malayalam are mostly 90% Dravidan with 10% aryan. Present day tamil, I would say is 95% dravidan and 5% aryan. Many ancient tamil words are now a part of telugu and kannada and not tamil !!!! strange but true. If you observe the 2nd half of the tamil film 'Ayirathil oruvan' where they speak ancient tamil, you will observe its a mix of all the 4 south indian languages.

looks like you too responded back out of emotions without reading the lines properly. Probably a nut case!!
Selection of people from film related field, leaves one doubt there are no other talented people. There is already enough showcasing of film personalities. I expected selection based on wide area of activities and just related to films. May be a beginning is made.
