No need to ban
by PRK Reddy on Jan 31, 2013 04:04 PM

Ban was unnecessary. Nobody was going to watch it anyway.

Many of his OWN films (directed and/or produced by him) were flops.

His successful films were directed by others.

Salangai Oli (Sagara Sangamam in Telugu) was directed by K. Viswanath.

Sippikkul Muthu (Swathi Muthyam in Telugu) was again directed by K. Viswanath.

Apporva Sahodargal (Apoorva Sahodarulu in Telugu) was directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao.

Pushpak, the silent movie, was again directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao.

Nayakan was directed by Mani Ratnam.

Indian (Bharatheeyudu in Telugu) was directed by Shankar.

Thevar Magan was directed by Bharathan.

Avvai Shanmukhi (Bhamane Satya Bhamane in Telugu) was directed by K. S. Ravi Kumar.

Chachi 420 in Hindi was directed by Kamal Haasan, but it was merely a remake of Avvai Shanmukhi.

A majority of his hit movies were directed and produced by others.

His OWN films (directed and/or produced by him) were either flops or just average mediocre films. There may be exceptions, I am not sure. Can you name them, if any?

Kamal is no doubt a talented actor, but his talent was always brought out by other directors. By himself, he was not successful in bringing out his own talent.

A strange group of people

A strange group of close minded people !!! Jumping to a rel. leader speaks when he speaks !!!!

Not all but many of them are social nuisances also.

Many of them keep their women out of reach of other relgns by using Burqah, lack of education, superstition, religious mis-teaching that others are Kafers, lower grade people ...

But at the same time, their men have no hesitation to join mixing and ran after (Kafer ??) hyndu girls by utilising her OPEN MIND and make all attempts to win her !!!!!

A social nuisance !!!

If you r anti- hindu, anti-god, hurt Hindu sentiments- considered secular in this nation. This is what he showed off proudly.
If you show this against other religion you are bound to get back. You deserve. Pay for it.

Distributors lobby instigated this protest for Kamals DTH plan
by OM on Jan 31, 2013 02:13 PM

This protest is nothing but created by Distributors and Exhibitors lobby as a revenge against Kamal Hassan for his simultaneous DTH release for Vishwaroopam which has been the main reason for rift between Kamal and distributors lobby. This is not a spontaneous protest, the distributors lobby are using their political clout to spin the narrative of the protest by creating an anti Muslim image for the movie and stage managing this protest. This infact just mirrors the current status of movie industry where the distributors and marketers are more powerful and have clout over the creative team and don't want to loose their upper hand and revenue base.

What happened to public of Tamilnadu? Are they mute spectators or afraid of administration? This is the time to show that majority rules the democracy.

One should not condemn or praise movie unless and untill you watch it. This is a time to introspect before you jump to the conclusion.

For that, you guys should have the mind not to protest before releasing it and seeing the film. All these 'introspect' talk applies to the preacher first, than to the listeners..!!
