SRK was badly in need of a success. In his desperation, he even stalled OUTIM2 also successfully and proceeded with never before media propaganda over his film for last 6 months.
RS on his part appeared on every available taboloids to say SRK is his godfather etc.. Deepika claiming SRK will kiss her day in day out, to prop some hysteria of some kind in mall culture. Finally, released the film during Eid weekend only to rake up 100cr in first week. Plan executed perfectly.
I hope this would cross 150cr and bring SRK into this club as well. But having watched the film, I felt the need of painkillers with in 30mins into the film. But 100cr is what matter us all, eod

Just making publicity. Go to theatres and nobody is there to see the movie. Just making fool to public. It is doubt whether they are able to collect 33 lakhs
Srk was eagerly waiting for a single hit after so many Flops.
He had to try the current trend , thats what today's trend is and better way to reach people is a long weekend vacation.
Well masala movie during festive season has been flavour of success for bollywood. e.g. Son Of Sardar ... Now tell what was there in the movie ... but still had seen huge business
rest is money from d-company extortions and crooks / traitors black money becoming white... movie tickets were available on Saturday itself for ongoing current shows... now paid media will spread all possible lies / misinformation to make derailed Chennai express as the biggest blockbuster ever ...
Half of this Collection has been bought by Pharma Companies and distributed free to who have nothing else to do. These Pharma companies specialise in Pain Killers and ever since this movie has been released their sales rise beyond 500% due to severe headache reported by 100% audience and 50% said watching this living skelton for 3 hrs gives great pain in a$$, they end up buying 2 tablets. Anyway we hope to expect this partnership to continue.
