Generally it happens in the case of an actor that if his first film flops he has a great chance to become superstar (though not always). Ranbir because of his selection of films has slowly and steadily become superstar. He selected very different films which famous superstars would had rejected it.To be very honest people are bored of watching action movies, superhero movies, six packs and muscular hero movies. People want movies with good story and acting not just display of muscles.Ranbir's success is not overnight. Inspite of being star son he had to struggle in the industry and his success is certainly not overnight. He is a superstar now and hope he entertains us in future by doing variety of movies.
A fantastic performance by Ranbir in a completely off-beat movie Barfi together with another fantastic actor Priyanka Chopra. Movies have been made on such subjects earlier too but Barfi is outstanding.
Ranbir is a rare star kid with talent and no attitude.. his inclination towards good cinema is evident with his choice of films - Barfi,Rockstar,Rocket Singh,Wake up sid,Rajneeti & now upcoming genius Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet... He is also a good actor..infact of the current breed Ranbir & Abhay Deol are two rare star kid Heroes who can actually "act" & both of them are doing quality films...

Go get a life..unlike other star kids he is a rare talent and a good actor.. and he chooses good films (obviously in india good film don't have mass appeal)

in all his movies after sanwariya they would be flops without him.thats shows his acting.also why other star sons are flops if you call backing.go out and enjoy the sunshine
