Vikram had a brief taste of superstardom from Sethu to Anniyan where most of his films became blockbusters, but he never had that longevity feature of a superstar. Two major drawbacks for him is - he sucks at both comedy and romance. He is good at action, but he chooses the wrong films to showcase it. When he does emotional stuff, he overdoes it to the point where you get irritated (Deiva Thirumagal is one prime example). And he picks and chooses his films too minutely that he wastes a lot of time.
I don't think Vikram will ever get back to his heydays of Sethu, Dhool, Kasi, Saamy, Anniyan, etc. He will keep giving that odd hit film inbetween 4-5 flops. A sad waste of decent potential.

What sudarsan said was right...you think REMO character was a gr8 romantic character ? Romance and Comedy are alien thing for Vikram.Don't be a fanatic.Understand and speak.

well said Sudarsan! I think that is the reality of Vikam’s current status. He has to work with really good directors to regain his success.
