blockbuster.. waht a movie. direction, story, suriya are amazing.. Pavithra stop reviewing the movie.. i don't understand how do you rate the movie.. wht more do you expect? i really enjoyed this movie after a watching many movies this year.. i would recommed this 100% with 5 rating..

You judge a movie by the star value it carries and not for its overall watchability or presentation. That explains as to why you are going gaga over this mediocre film
Wonder who are those segment of audience who didn't like the film. The film is good fun, except for a substandard climax. The film actually hits the story in the second half. The problem with tamil audience is, they want the entire movie to be comedy and fun and they never want film makers to hit the meaty story portions. this is why substandard guys like santhanam are big hits in tamil, because they don't make you think... they just come out and make some silly jokes and the audience laugh and make those films a hit.
maatran's 2nd half was better than its first half (except for the climax). and surya has done an excellent job as the conjoined twins. for a change, the heroine has a role to play in the film's story and kajal does well. for a masala film, the music is suited enough.

nowadays who is going 2 theatre? above 45 plus stopped watching movies at theatre.. they are watching only tv serials.. u know very well about working community problems.. wake up at 5.30am and catch 7am company bus and return home at 9pm etc etc.. they dont want heavy subject..they want small story, comedy and three songs etc.. continuous three movies flop means, no producers will knock the door.. compromise for actor, compromise for story, compromise for audience.. end result.. ZERO

Hi Guys My Daughter of 4 years had watched the movie without sleeping which says about the movie.Yes they have taken cinematic liberties and conveyed a serious message which got discussed by mothers coming out of the movie.this is what the team wanted and they had succedded .Thats it.
hi, comparing to three.7am arivu, rajapattai, thandavam and billa 2 ... MAATRAVAN IS good movie... movie will be hit in OVERSEAS and A and B centre.. village area maatravan will be super flop.. photography is good.. comparing to billa 2, this movie is farrrrrrrrrrrrr better..
