i think why peoples are disappointing by this music, bcz we were expecting a blend of rehman and yashraj, but it is typical rehmans music, another reason everyone still having the hangover of rockstar, and this music is totally different from rockstar, but overall music is great, when u listen it 4-5 times u will love all the songs

i m a die hard fan of rehman and i am generally able to decide in first hearing that rehman's album is good or not, but this time i had huge expectations, even i had the hangover of rockstar also that's why in first listen i could not decide, even this music is totally different from the previous music of yashraj banner, which is also unexpected, but after listing 3-4 times, i liking the music very much. all the songs are graet in the album

Why 2.5?

If you so hate the music, why not 1 star? Scared of the backlash, right? Scared that you will be ripped apart in the comments, right?

Sukanya - your last line literally gives away your motive.... You heard it again and again, and yet you think it shouldn't work that way?? Ha ha ha... speak the truth, madam.....

rahman songs always works after a few hearings only. its not because of rahman's effort. its because of the mammoth expectations on every album that he comes up with. his style of compositions have changed, and he has been instrumental in a way in changing our music tastes. he experiments a lot with his music these days and that's why we don't like his music in the first hearing. JTHJ is a wonderful album, and settles very well after 2-3 listenings. It happened with me too, but by the 3rd listening, I was loving it completely... If you believe music should always be attractive on first listen, wonder how you liked Yuvraaj and Raavan? Raavan with all the huge hype on the Maniratnam-Rahman combo, was a dampener on the first listen. Its obvious that you have cultivated a deep liking for them subsequently after many listenings.... So give this album some time (genuinely; I don't believe you really heard it more than once).
