While inane films like Lawaris and Hera Pheri are included in Amitabh's. 70s repertoire , Sudhendu Roy's SAUDAGAR is not mentioned.. this was one his best performances with all nuances of a rasiya well captured and the negative shades of the role so effectively essayed in a film that was actually Nutan's vehicle all through....

Bollywood is good at those times.. with Kishore, RD/SD Burman, Mukesh, Lata, Ahsa and manymore.. The script, music, dialoges, hero's everything is perfect. I dont think we can get such script, music and movies in these times.. Golden era.. Hats off to everyone. The real star on earth - Amitabh.. I love him.

Bemisaal

How could this author miss "Bemisaal"????

I believe the most under-rated, brilliantly acted (sudued with so many emotions). No one ever could have portrayed that character so well than Amitabh

It was a gem from hriskikesh mukherjee who had made an offbeat film in those times way ahead...:)

Why AB is such a phenomenon
by HumHainaa on Oct 09, 2012 11:25 AM

Apart from his films success, without paid media and PR, he single handedly made big successes out of sheer persona films like Lawaris, M-K-S even, Namakhalal etc.. even after shunning media and Media blocking his news in 70s and Emergency.

Can any socalled superstar of today make a hit without media ? They just create some controversys before film release to get people to theatres.
