come out of the glamour rediff and talk about the talent. Though this lady always truimphd in any of her assignment may it be bizzare 'Nagina', 'Judaai' or a classic like 'Sadma', 'Lamhe' or a commercial like 'Mr. India', 'Chaalbaaz' or 'Chandni'. Sridevi was the one who always stole the show from her co-stars. Now comes 'English-Vinglish' and look at what critics has to say about Sridevi. Its not tht she isnt glamour, in fact she s the one who redifined glamour for actresses garnering all the wolf whistles. But media never gave Sridevi the volcano of performer her due. For me 'She is the best actress in India ever' and after 'english Vinglish' there can never be one.

I did not understand Sridevi's dialogue in Sadma, was it acting ? Farida Jalal is more talented than sridevis or rekhas and jayapradas. But Farida need not break her glamour and claim what acting is about. If you are glamour, stick to that.

Well said ,Farida Jalal was good but she was not a top rung heroine she did more character roles later Sridevi was an already acclaimed actress and a superstar in the south before she started acting in Hindi and later on became a superstar in the north too..so its silly to compare an actress who has already proved her acting talents in the south with memorable roles

Um...okay. Farida had a "Sadma"-ish role in Bobby, but how many people remember that. Sridevi did the same role in two languages and bagged a national award for the original. Her awards come from deglamorized roles. Do you think before you talk? Imagine Farida doing a role like ChaalBaaz, Nagina, Judaai etc. Farida cannot dance and she is only good for niche roles. She is fantastic but Sridevi is an all-rounder.
