I guess she's maintained herself extremely well. The queen who ruled the 80s and early 90s. Powerhouse of talent. Thankfully, she's known more for her acting than anything else. NO.1 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. What an achievement! Can hardly think of an actress who ruled all the three regions and that too for over a decade.
One of the best actresses of her time, delivered from the south. Where is suppandi's comments about this? Usually, that id*&t is all over a news item like this.
...the legend returns! Time to SCHOOL the current crop of "actors". Watched this movie at the TIFF and LOVED LOVED LOVED every moment with Sridevi in it. There are a couple of scenes which don't make sense (just two) and the actress who plays her daughter is a terrible actress but otherwise, Sridevi PROVES that talent never gets old or dies. Her speech at the end could have been more touching. For the last 25 years I've maintained that Sridevi has an aura that reminds me of my mom. I wasnt wrong.

I think we are always born to criticize...if she was plump then there will be remarks that she has not maintained herself ,wellif she loses wait then she is anemic etc etc...as far as I am concerned she looks stunning considering she is almost 50 years old...

She looks healthy, fit and her own age and she isn't trying to act younger. In fact, if you watch the movie there is no mention of her age and she plays a mother of two - a 15 year old and an 11 year old, approximately the same age as her real children. Why do you talk before thinking?

Did you know she was considered as big as a draw as Amitabh? that is why she got a dual role in his film. Did you she got filmfare award in 2 languages (Hindi and Telugu)? Did you know she did need to be like the new so-called beauties (trying to show all parts of their body) to make her movie hit? Did you know she acted since childhood? Did you know Kajol, Karan Johar and many others consider her the best actress in Hindi movies?
Critics are meant for criticising. But critics today vie who writes best for whom among themselves, if that is a standard, then why bother what is written. We have our own brains to find flaws in film scripts, editing and even acting. No film is perfect in the world, there are loopholses in some best films. do our journlaists agree? By reading English-Vinglish, we do not see so .
Every actress has a space, if media does not over-write,it will be acceptable, who is best, let actress themselves decide. There are sometime madness , and one has to just watch the mad of critics. Thanks for their hard work, too much of publicity leads nowhere.
