Those who blame the massive crowds turnout on Balasaheb's death and funeral to the fear factor, the simple answer to it is that your weakness and cowardice cannot be shown as a reason for someone else success. If that's the reasoning then hats of to Balasaheb for making you fool's weakness into his victory.
If the fearless people in Mumbai or elsewhere couldn't organise themselves for a purpose (protesting against Balasaheb and Shivsena's policies) they believed in it shows on their poor organisational skills, lack of coherence and poor fighting spirit. Balasaheb beat you there also with his amazing organisational skills and knack of bringing people together, convincing them and organizing them together for a cause he believed in.
It took 3 generation of Gandhi family and an army of sycophants to control the congress party for 4 decades. and Balasaheb did it alone for 4 decades without any interruption. That's why he was a Tiger. Pranam Balasaheb.

I am not sure why Maharashtrians didn't elect Siv Sena to run government since 1999. Quite strange right, so much love for saheb and during elections that love never converted into votes.

because shiv sena as a govt had failed the people. out of 20 lakh people descended yesterday, i am sure more than 50% vote for Cong-NCP govt in assembly elections.

I fully agree with you. I do not remember any remarkable contribution Thackery has done to Maharashtra in general and Mumbai in particular except his hate campaign.
I'm shocked at Lata di's remarks. She is too great to make any remark for an ordinary poltician like Thackrey. He divided people on lines of Language, Religion and Region. How his men thrashed Northies in'02-03 and same tactics practsed by his notorious nephew few years later. BT and his ilk are disease for us. Sometime we get infected of it and suffer a lot.

I am not shocked. Lata is like grape, you dont know whether it is sweet or sour. She is something else in front and something else in back.Thats why there were not new comers at her time.i always thought her as great but if we analyse there are lot of things wrong. no more respect for her. sorry to say.

Whole of India gave her the fame and now she is using it for parochial purposes.
Till Thackeray was alive and promoting violence from time to time, she did not have the guts to take a stand, now she is praising him when he is no more.
She has proved that she is no more than a marati man00s instead of being a national icon!!!!

Agree. Lata went to Thackeray and told that she want to give lot of money for Shiv Sena. But she wanted to be anonomous, so that other don't know. Thackeray refused and said that he can't accept money if some one don't want to reveal his identity. She always supported Thackeray agenda of throwing out South Indian, North indians out of Mumbai. She got fame and money because of Indian people not being a marthi. She should stop singing in Bollywood films and instead do only marthi films.

When so-called tiger is no more, why the fear? Can't she just keep quiet instead of giving these outlandish statements.

Kabeer: I agree with you on this point. Though I am bashing you on your nehru ideology in the other forum. But the problem with Indian minds is that we need someone to remind us how great we are and our culture is. Yes, politicians do take advantage of it. But that's our mindsets

The difference between BT and NTR was that NTR never advocated hatred towards other communities! As successive CMs were thrust upon AP from Delhi, he raised the slogan of telugu's self respect. So, there is no comparison between the two.
Charecter of a man can be judged from the decisions he takes. When a man blindly favors someone because he hapens to be same tongue or religion or his own offsprings oblivious of merit, where is the greatness? We all know Dhitarastra. Lata Mangeskar is great because she has a great voice not because she hails from one community or other. If she would have dedicated her whole carrier in singing Marathi Bhajans, she would have not Lata Manjeskar today having fan all over the world, where people understand Hindi.
