Mr. Aamir Khan!
by manisha on May 09, 2012 01:13 PM  | Hide replies

I would like to see Mr. Khan first wife (Reema) to narrate her story , how Mr. Khan deserted her and moved on his life without bothering much about the her life.

Mr. Khan have no moral right to host the show and recite "Satyameva Jayate".

Well I think what ever happens in society is part of society and that includes the things which Amir was highlighting and the things which Amir did like marrying again. otherwise people can say that this issue is personal to someone. so to say divorce is personal is wrong. it still sets wrong precedents (how come it took him more than a decade to decide that they are not compatible ???....)... Food for thought

dude.. we are in a age where if a star smokes people make a hue and cry. So do u think divorce is any lesser. It is a sign of the couple and more so that more celebrated of the two incapable of holding a family together. There will be thousand questions like what caused the divorce and for all we know how can one be so sure it wasnt aamirs fault.

Divorce is NOT a personal matter if its a celebrity as it sets wrong precedents. Its as important as a star smoking a cigarrette in public or some one mowing down people on the footpath

It seems you have not watched the entire show and the publicity campaigns. Never has he claimed in his show and in all the campaigns that he is out there to change the world. He can't do it alone, and he has accepted it, on and off the show ( record it next time and watch it at least 3 times ). He is contributing his bit and making us all aware ona Sunday morning. What needs to be done further, he has left it to us, the audience.

Don't write such misleading articles and become Chetan Bhagat overnight.
Hope this helps.

Reading the review also doesn't give you any indication that the reviewer disagrees with Aamir. But, to wake up the social fabric of the Indian populace- the show needs a little more oomph and a lot less crying. Crying invokes pity- I'm sure the sufferers dont want your pity. What they want is an awareness that enrages and disgusts us about our own societal laws and the way it is currently being mismanaged.
Kudos again to Aamir for doing a show like this. But, please try to tap in to the right emotions from the public in the coming episodes.
Regarding, the previous episode- they sure didn't dwell into the heinous side of the law or the brutal psychopathic killing by the so called healers

It is dubbed in many languages but not in Kannada! This shows wrong impression as Possessiveness by Kannadigas. In this competitive world one should be ready to accept the competition, no other option

It's just a TV show.
by Vijay Sahani on May 09, 2012 11:34 AM  | Hide replies

I don't think Aamir Khan is out there on TV to CHANGE India or to bring about a revolution! We need people like Anna Hazare, medha Pathak, Aruna Roy for that. Aamir is just doing a TV show, nothing more than that. TV shows are never meant to bring about social change. They are meant to entertain. The difference is that he is doing a show with a social message. Something people should stop and think and IF THEY it touches an emotional chord in them, maybe it will help them to change themselves. But to change people can NEVER be the primary purpose of any TV show. The primary purpose is to be commercially successful (just like in case of movies). All adults know that ... i presume.

I agree Vijay. In fact, in a bengali news channel interview, Aamir clearly mentioned that he is NOT a social worker; rather he is just an actor, an entertainer.

Aamir's new series SJ is done earlier with other actors / Public servants for various channel, there is no freshness in the show.Never expected this from Aamir. Would suggest him to show the problems & the solution or result by showing the Convict and punish him according to the law. Only showing problems is not a solution. Aamir expressions are also fake...
