S.V. Ranga Rao plays not zamindar but a street rowdy role who brings up the girl abandoned child of zamindar. Seems rediff people don't do any research before publishing such false material.
In fact, Pushpaka Vimanam is registered as a Kannada movie. Not a bad list, but it did leave out many good movies such as Akali Rajyam and Maro Charitra. No mention of the ladies favorite Shoban Babu? What about movies such as Seetha Koka Chilaka?

I will appreciate if you can give a few details of the Kannada origin of Gundamma Katha. As far as I know it was Chakrapani's own story. He even wrote a sequel Gundamma Koothulla Katha and published it in his magazine Yuva.
It is a good list, but by its very nature cannot be exhaustive. Bangarupapa is a plagiarised version of George Eliot's 'Silas Marner'.This film was later made in Malayalam also, without acknowledgement to Eliot.Saratchandra's Devadas was made eight times in four languages. When the Telugu remake with Krishna was to be released, the original with Nageswar Rao was re-released,driving out the remake from the theatres.Bengali novels inspired many Telugu films (thanks to Chakrapani,an alumnus of Shanthiniketan).Tasherghar,Nishkriti,Satpake bandhe are examples.Pushpakavimana cannot be called a Telugu picture, being a silent movie. You could have included Pakkinti ammayi, where comedian Relangi plays the main role.

This type of list can never be exhaustive, hence from the few examples given, you may find some non-telugu actresses.Upto late seventies,Telugu actresses dominated,in all Southern languages and Hindi. Now the situation is reversed, with only Northern heroines in Telugu films.
poor analysis from rediff, why A - Z for example there are many outstanding telugu films on letter 'S' apart from shankarabaranam.. 1.sagarasangamam 2.swathimuthyam 3.SHIVA
