Dear Rediff followers,
We have had enough number of Pakistanis lurking around here in this board. I got this

information from one of the TechSupport guys working with Rediff. I cant reveal all those

details here but surely can tell that many IP Addresses have been tracked down to

Pakistan. So kindly do not support these guys who spread hatred amongst ourselves. Some

characteristics that can be attributed to these sick souls:
1. Deep hatred against Sachin.
2. Inculcating caste/regional/racial feelings among Indians.
3. Last but not the least, North-South divide.

So please dont fall into the trap set by these sick minds.

should we not be boycotting rediff in that case, as they knowingly encourage antinationals to spread hatred amongst us?

I think Rediff should display 'Location' also with the user name. That will clear.

Man you have some phobia. Consult a good doctor. As if the ISI has nothing better to do than writing in the forums.

Individual decision ...
by imran patel on Mar 19, 2012 08:47 PM  | Hide replies

The decision to retire should be an individual decision.

I for one would like Sachin to retire at a time when he is ready to do so.

We treat him as a National "asset", as in we own him. He is a National "pride". His family (wife and children) have more right to his time and attention than we do as his fans.

Hence, his decision to retire should be his and his alone. And as fans we must all respect that.

Mr Patel, I completely agree that the decision to retire should completely be Sachin's. What's frustrating is that despite declaring his commitment to Indian cricket, he does not realize that he no longer is the future of Indian cricket and as such should step down so some youngster can take his place. Granted that youngster will be a pygmy compared to SRT, but that is not the point; we need to start building for the future now.

going by your argument, a player aged 28 at his peak and who knows his career may end in another 2 years... in that case he is also no longer of the future and blocking opportunities for youngsters ... So as long as players play well they can contribute ... not to forget, so many others are also getting chances .... but not proving themselves..

Do you have proof for all of these? Or just shooting off your mouth? Who told you Sachin donates to the Sathya Sai charitable trust?

First of all, BCCI is a privately run entity. The govt has no power to interfere with the operations of the BCCI? If its such a problem to you, you have to stop watching Indian cricket and watch something else.

Cricket is not a GOVT. Job
by kanu kangal on Mar 19, 2012 08:45 PM  | Hide replies

Where someone retires and other gets promoted. Keep Cricket out of the typical Indian mentality.
This is a good example of Indian not used to meritocracy but family connection and automatic entitlement.
Why should Sachin retire and who are we to demand it. If someone wants to take his place should do so based on their superior batting skills not by forcing a good player like Sachin. Give chance to others? what is this sta This is ridiculous.

Did she not allow other singers to come forward by threatening directors and producers that if they don't pick her she won't sing for them? Will never listen to her songs again. Shameless people in India I must say.
