the audience which 'gave rave reviews' about these films !
Could be a load of Indians or people of Indian origin with just a sprinkling of Europeans (who in any case, might be seeing films from all corners of the world) !!
And the alacrity and glee with which how a frenchman came up and congratulated him is talked about is ample proof that non-Indians were hardly present among those who watched these films !

u r targeting the wrong film for this comment... the things u r saying r mostly true for K Jo & YRF films... Like that news of some fool buying MNIK ticket for 1000 euros...
Figure note that Miss Lovely was IN COMPETITION & not just being screened by promoters...
yes there are movies which require you to put brains at home and in my opinion making a movie like that work is far more difficult than making the kind of movies you act in. the effort put in one item song or an action sequence is more than the effort put in entire movies of this alternate kind. the lead actors or whatever you call them work harder in gym alone than you work in entire movie like miss lovely. ever wondered how hard salman or akshay must be working to look the way they look at their age. and audiences are fools that they love these movies? what meaningful cinema has come out of parallel cinema industry in india. which of these movies can compete globally. they are neither here not there, most of the time they are full of psuedo intellect. you say u would rather watch porn than watching these movies, i will rather watch documentary than watching ur movies or read a book or watch one of those cheap european movies that r aspirations of people like u. i watched rowdy rathore in theatre and kids were having a blast. never condemn something that u know u cant do.

If people go only to watch Salman & Akshay why do many of their movies flop? Nowadays the script is more important because people r no longer fools but yet u remain one.... A good script ,good actors & a great director makes a good film not half naked actors....If working in the gym would have a great film all wrestlers would have been great actors. Even a movie of Salman or Akshay or Shahrukh flops if script is bad. Grow up

he is not talking about a good or bad script. its an entire genre of movies that he is ridiculing. there are good and bad movies in each genre. the so called mindless movies are a genre that people like me relish and within that genre also there are good scripts, good actors and good directors. i think the kind of movie he makes are easier to make. actors from his genre are never able to succeed in mainstream commercial ovies as lead actors whereas whenever mainstream actors attempt movies in his genre they always succeed. go watch Shanghai to see emraan hashmi outperforming all the 'great actors' of his favorite genre. and about wrestlers, their work in the gym was emphasised to show the kind of effort that goes into making these movies. i grew up long back

Hmm...about your point of doing hard work for great physic for an actor...I have one great example (out of many) which I don't think you would defer to - Christian Bale - can anyone of our Khan's can do or have done acting like he does?
